So what’s with classes being ignored on alpha?

Just play Warlock instead of Fake Warlock.

It’s made even worse because they’re trying to juggle 36 classes. Yes, you may call them specs, but considering how many of them have their own unique mechanics and abilities … I’ll call them classes.

The more classes you have, the harder it is to properly balance things.

I was the one who brought it up, not Akston. Just a bit of dark humor to remember the time they “forgot” to submit the community feedback for Shamans on time for the big class revamp everyone was looking forward to and how it still leaves a lingering cloud over the class to this day.

Well, I like warlocks, so I do.

But shadow is the only dps option for a priest.

Sure, it can’t be super easy, and every game with classes has this problem.

Lucky last I guess

Because I like playing my monk and mount collecting. I know it shocks people, but you can still play a game and be critical of it.

Being critical of it isn’t the same thing as believing that the designs will arbitrarily pick specs they don’t like and nerf them.

They have lots of biases. Horde bias is one of them. They’re also biased towards mages :woman_shrugging:t2: I don’t think there’s anything wrong with pointing that out

They’re actively working on improving classes. It’s freaking me out.

I firmly believe Blizzard does not know what to do with Hunters and has lost their way significantly since before Legion was released and they started working on Melee survival for Legion launch.

The only 2 physical ranged specs in the game are COMPLETELY broken in PvP.

MM is broken because as a kiting class it is forced to not only hard cast but to turret as well while doing it which is shocking considering the IMMENSE amount of CC in the game. For some reason they seem wedded to not allow MM to move while casting aimed shot, so it’s a free kill for almost anyone who looks at them. Also has boring shots like volley (i call it blob shot) where for some reason they can’t find a better or more interesting way to show an aoe shot. With talents that are so low proc’ing that they don’t work like Lock and load where you can go several minutes with no proc…

BM is broken because of the limit Blizzard places on pets (can’t be too strong while also shoehorning players into certain pets), although it is in a better spot for the most part it is lackluster to actually play with things like cobra shot looking like a 5 year olds crayon flying through the air.

Flare is almost completely useless since it takes FOREVER to show anything. Track hidden might as well not even exist since it’s range is to tiny to be effective at ANYTHING considering all the gap closers every melee class has. The Hunter who used to be able to counter Rogues is now so outmatched by them that MM/BM Hunters don’t exist above 2200 while there is something like 20-25% Rogue representation.

Is it any wonder they have gone from being one of the most played and loved classes in the game to obscurity over the last 4 years and are probably going to be for Shadowlands as well?

Yea Hunters need major work…but Blizzard seems happy relegating them to garbage tier again.

Enhancement shaman just got a pass that changed them from clunky and weird to amazing.

So, fingers crossed for those three and mages. I really want mage to be good, but it looks so bad.

If they were biased toward mages frost wouldn’t be in the situation it is in right now.

It is far more likely that balancing is really hard and balancing by committee is worse.

Kill glacial spike. KILL GLACIAL SPIKE.

I may or may not be the only one that hates what it does to the spec.

If I could pick any one talent to have removed from the game, it’s code deleted and the person who wrote it launched into space, it’s Rune of Power.

I just mentally block it and pretend it doesn’t exist. There is no level 45 talent row. Incanter’s flow is baseline.

I hate that though, incanter’s flow shouldn’t exist. Mages should naturally hit hard without either of those talents.

Also, deep freeze. Give it back.

Every time I play my mage I look at that talent and then /camp soon after.

It’s bad.

It saddens me to see people who think it requires any skill at all. They’ve been stuck with it for so long that they have fooled themselves into thinking it’s compelling gameplay.

Because that’s how they make borrowed power feel good.
