They were literally created as a response to allowing Horde Blood Elves into the Kirin Tor. They were funded out of opposition, they sent you to kill Sunreaver agents, outside Dalaran they killed Horde on sight. Plus, all the 7th Legion HE mages were also part of the SC.
Further disputes made them even more hostile, but to deny they were created to literally oppose the horde blood elves and vouch for the alliance it’s kinda blind.
And again, this is just a part of the whole high elf population of Dalaran, cause the rest just went neutral. But we literally can’t deny that the SC both preferred the alliance and heavily disliked the horde.
The grimtotem, much like the dark iron dwarves are separate clans of the one race (although dark iron have supposedly gone through more physical evolution as apparent with the change in physiology between them).
Baine just be Baine, it’s not like he was working for the Alliance, he merely believed that peace with the Alliance was the best thing for the Horde.
It’s like a parent scolding a child, it does it for the child’s benefit even if to all appearances it appears negative.
So interesting, a separate clan and a person acting of their own volition. Sounds a lot like Alliance high elves and Valeera, the claim you tried to follow through into generalizing all Thalassians.
I mean but this is what I was saying. Vareesa created it to combat the Blood Elves specifically, not the Horde.
And as I said this was escalated to include hostilities against the Horde.
She’s ONLY a friend to the Wrynn family. She isn’t involved in military affairs.
Valeera is generally a free agent
If you are meaning that the High Leves that remained were a traitorous faction like the Grimtotem, then yes I guess so.
As for Valeera that is different, Baine worked with an enemy of his people for the benefit of his people. Valeera isn’t working for the Horde or the Blood Elves, she is working with the Alliance for the Wrynn’s.
That is a different scenario.
Although to be specific the High Elves were one nation as opposed to the clan like nature of Tauren or Dwarves.
Except that time she helped out the Alliance assault Undercity in WotLK. Oh and recently with SoO 2.0
If the blood elves weren’t horde, she wouldn’t have needed to create a militant alliance group on the first place.
If the Blood Elves weren’t with the Horde and seeked a place within the Kirin Tor of Dalaran she still would have created an opposing party.
She made friends with Varian when he was kidnapped before Wrath, went on adventures with Anduin after, unclear how cannon any of those adventures are since some of them heavily involved Medan but some of the stories that involved Med’an are still cannon even if he isn’t
Can have a different girl every night of the week and take weekends off.
She’s not part of the Alliance in so far as she doesn’t commit to the faction.
Her loyalty is to the Wrynn family and their goals.
The Wrynn family goals just happen to be helping the Alliance.
So honestly, Horde should still kill her on sight. Doesn’t matter that she says she’s -technically- not part of the alliance, she’s still loyal to part of their leadership and does their bidding.
Considering that Vereesa has been always very hostile of the horde, of course it just furthered the contention. Vereesa was far more sympathetic to the BE position in Night of the Dragon, it was when they became horde representatives that she became more hostile.
It’s pretty evident that BE’s being part of the Horde was an issue for Vereesa, who was always alliance herself, why wouldn’t it be?
Fair enough, I just considered it animosity towards Blood Elves as those that stayed within the Alliance disliked those who left as they abandoned their allegiance.
Sure, but as you can see even by those terms, it makes it worse.
Wheres that always sunny “wildcard!” Clip?
Just need a lighter and some gasoline to shove in our mouth.
Glory to the St’Aircase!
