So Valeera IS Alliance?

Ofc you had to turn it into High Elf thread.

If your refering to me?

I think those that continue to call themselves “high elves” are traitors who abandoned their family when they needed them the most and then refused to honor those who fought for their homeland by calling themselves blood elves.

But yes, blood elves are high elves.

Not quite, the Alliance never had a good relationship with the High Elves, they relucantly made a short temporary agreement with them during the second war before withdrawing from the allegiance.

Shortly after, Arthas did his thing with the scourge and wiped them out with the few remaining High Elves coming together and calling themselves the Blood Elves.

The only High Elves left in Azeroth were those who betrayed their nation to join the Alliance when the allegiance was severed, all the rest were murdered or became Blood Elves.

Basically put the High Elves became allies for a short period before betraying the Alliance to their own benefits, some of the High Elves betrayed the nation of High Elves and joined the Alliance, and now Valeera betrays the Blood Elves to assist the Wrynn’s.

Duplicity and unfaithfulness runs within the Quel’dorei blood line.

She, unlike the rest of we poor saps, isn’t forced to be in either faction so she can ally pretty much ally with anyone she wants.

YAh not going to get into any debates here about what is what here just mention and accusations fly

Maybe in another thread more suitable we could discuss it.

Valeera is the only real liaison between the Alliance and the Horde.

I dunno, not sure how much in the corner of the Alliance the High Elves really were.

They entered an allegiance simply out of necessity and then broke it as soon as they could.

All they ever did was for themselves because they (similar to the Night Elves and Elves in general) never believed that any of the other races were their equal.
As far as they are concerned Humans, Gnomes, Dwarves, Orcs etc are all lesser races.

It’s possible they may have left anyway, we’ll never know for sure. All I know is there was still no lore reason to not include High Elves in the Alliance other than a cop out.

Really? I’ve found almost no information on them.

She’s going to secretly kill all of Anduin’s potential brides until she is the only one left, then keep Shaw close by for eye candy and show off.

Interesting. Could we explore this some more?

Yeah Valeera is 100% alliance and honestly a pretty interesting character. I love the comic where her, lo’gosh and broll meet as slave gladiators only to win so much that when they do escape their master is like cool let them go they made enough to pay for their freedom.

Yeah, that’s the thing, that’s most high elves, who then became Blood Elves.

The point is that a small section of the elves remained on the alliance til this day. The fact that some dalarani elves created an alliance faction in the city when it became neutral should be pretty telling to where their loyalties lie.

The point is that while most elves didn’t care, some very much did.

That’s for people who have a bit more knowledge in the matter to decide, however from a point of the secession of the High Elves prompted Gilneas also to leave the Alliance and yet they have been reintroduced I guess so?

But outside of that though, as far as I know the reintroduction of High Elves to the Alliance would have to be convoluted.
As said, they entered the Alliance for one reason because it suited them during the second war and then quickly left.

“The high elves began to doubt the value of the Alliance. Humanity seemed to need the high elves, but had little to offer in return, especially now that many Alliance resources went toward maintaining the internment camps.”

“At last Anasterian rescinded the high elves’ allegiance to the Alliance. He stated that the humans’ poor leadership had been directly responsible for the burned forests in the borderlands of Quel’Thalas.”

As far as lore goes their relationship has been tenuous at best.
For the actual inclusion of them into the Alliance they would have to take the point of the High Elves who betrayed their nation to stay with the Alliance, but I honestly don’t know what those numbers are like.

Truth is though that the Silver Covenant weren’t even anti Horde though as it was. Vareesa simply created it as precaution to the Blood Elves (specifically) from having too much power in Dalaran.

Although admittedly the game has drawn them further away from their original role and more involved in the Alliance than actually intended of their role.

I’m not with the Alliance I just fight with them and protect their High King and basically do everything with them…but I’m not with them.

She only cares about the House of Wrynns nothing more. Think of it as a payment for Varian for saving her back in her gladiator days. So in return she made a oath to guard his legacy/bloodline. If push came to shove I’m bet she’s willing to put a dagger in anyone that threatens that oath whether or not it’s someone like Lor’thamar or Greymane

She doesn’t feel any entitlements to her own people or anyone else besides well you know…

It doesn’t remind me of the grimtotem at all, or Baine.
