So this might be a touchy subject but the Incubus

For me, I always thought females in video games were overly sexualized by sweaty middle aged men for their own personal fantasy cringe. In battle, I don’t think you will be wearing a bikini  Well, in a real battle.

I think female empowerment comes in many different forms. Covering up doesn’t mean losing your power, to me anyway. Sometimes when you show all the goods it’s just out there and there is nothing left to the imagination. I think it can be sexier to be more covered up and wonder what’s under that armor.

Speaking as a woman and for woman only, however a woman feels good about herself is who she should be and dress herself. I wish many woman lived for themselves and not trying to be a fantasy for a man.

TLDR: Alex is hot no matter how she is dressed

Armor, redesigning or even slightly covering up a female character that was once originally more or less exposed doesn’t mean they are not less sexy.
These trends come and go. Often times faster than the fashion trends. This is due to current social communities and growth of technology.

Does that mean a sexy topless battle axe maiden donning only a loin cloth is forever lost to the past? No, there is always a market for these. The amount of times I have been asked to redo and recreate works to fit modern times would make heads spin. Though to retain clients and well as a form of economic survival, we all have to compromise.

Though it may seem like censorship is in control, it is just the ever changing tastes of those who want a wider variety of new and established characters. Give it a bit and we will cycle back and repeat this all over again, seen it been happening since the 60s.

Well I hope they don’t censor the chainmail bikini sets or I’ll be very sad… :disappointed_relieved: Been part of my WoW DNA since I could afford them in AH and would be very dissapointing to lose them.

Haven’t you heard? The “old” was sexist and full of prejudice.

The “new” is now respectful and inclusive.

Its just the new generation of devs making themselves be heard. They will annoy everyone for a few years and be replaced by a new generation obsessed with something else.

Me too. She just looks badass. Still sexy, but in the way a pain au chocolat is sweet as opposed to the overt sweetness of cotton candy.
The new look is a banger.

The real question to me is…
Why ppl think that showing more skin = more sexy?!.
IMO Alextraza or Sylvanas are more sexy now, even Jaina is.

Lol this is going to sound weird but Alexstrasza’s old outfit would make more sense if she was pregnant or something. A proud comfy momma! But she just look naked for no reason as she is. The new model looks quite better imo.

It seems like they are just “dialing back” on objectifying the female form in the game in a subtle way really. Pictures and some outfit updates isn’t taking much away from the game and at the same time they are adding to it by giving us more of the male equivalent.

I have quite a few female friends who play their toons in skimpy clothes. It’s not about feeling sexy/beautiful. One keeps her toon in the default bikini because the chainmail bikini meme amuses her. Another mains a hunter and we all know how ugly so much of the mail is. She decided less was more and went for a cool looking skimpy red set. I should figure out what it is. I have my lock in the crop top Snowblind set simply because I like the artwork.

OMG! Maybe she’ll even show her ankles. Or elbow…

You really think priding herself on being beautiful means Sylvanas should expose her stomach in her combat gear? Jeez i know some of yall are horny all day but at some point practicality has to factor in. The difference between the demon of temptation revealing as much skin as possible and the Leader of the Forsaken revealing as much skin as possible should be obvious.

Also there’s enough objectification of women in the world. Personally i objectify everyone not in my family but most cant share my view. If you want to wear skimpy mogs you have plenty of options. If you want to play a game with nude characters , you have a few options. Use them instead of trying to make WoW your personal spank bank

Just putting this out there. Blizz gave the succubus pants…PANTS LOL

There’s a glyph for a fel succubus that wears pants/more armor but just that one as far as I know.

Like I said, people’s motivations are their own. The “slutmogs” imo are some of the dumbest looking things in the game, but people can mog however they want.

To me the things I feel sexiest in are a well broken in pair of boot cut jeans and a vneck tshirt. The closest I can come to that in game is with cloth armor, forget the names but it’s a blue capri style pants and a white shirt.

It’s called the objectification of women.

Are you mixing up the WoW universe and real life?

Do they shame each other in WoW? Are women or men sexualized in WoW lore, as in do they view showing skin as sexual?

This is the paradox of 3rd wave feminism. When it’s convenient, sexy scantily women are a middle finger to The Patriarchy.

When men appreciate the view, women need to cover up because they don’t exist for the amusement of The Patriarchy.

But, if men tell women to cover up, then it’s oppression. If women choose to cover up because men are looking at them, then it is empowering women by preventing the male gaze, and therefore combating Patriarchal oppression.

Men can be objectified and sexualized because men are not sexy and women are not supposed to be attracted to men because men are the natural oppressors of women, therefore it’s ok. Sexualizing men is “punching up”.

None of this makes sense, but that’s where the modern commercial market is. If you have further questions, consult Anita Sarkeesian for more conflicting perspectives.

Not taking this bait. Sorry not sorry.

Succubus should be topless just like the incubus. The chest isn’t a sex organ and shouldn’t be required to be covered. There are states now that allow women to go topless just like men and I’m 100% here for it. Get with the times blizz!

Why should females be forced to wear a chest covering?

The point of succubus/incubus is that they seduce the enemy. Which is why they be so sexy!
