You had the most expensive gold sink in the form of respeccing removed from the game. Something else has to be in place in its stead. Especially when the world buff meta playstyle is a choice. Do you want to perform pitch perfect? Pay up.

I played the game when it came out and we didn’t have chronoboons. Sounds like you don’t want to play the game like classic at all. You want to play a different version of the game and pretend it’s authentic.
Chronoboon prices at this stage of the game are dumb.
Are you swiping credit cards? 10g a boon when people are trying to reboon for every boss? Most the community isn’t even 60 and is struggling for money to train skills.
Contrary to what most believe, this is anything but a harmless change.
A large part of why Classic feels the way it does is because people are forced to be out in the world travelling through it. This is what makes it feel vibrant and immersive.
Activate summoning stones and we lose that.
It’s one of the quietest but most important contributors to why Classic is great.
You can’t reboon every boss, it has a 1 hr cd. You can use 3 boons a week for rend/ony/songflower, then unboon for first boss of MC, and not use boon again the rest of the night if you never wipe on trash. Otherwise reboon before the trash you struggle with and unboon at the next boss. At most you’re using 4 boons a week.
Now, if you log out between getting world buffs you can cut that down to anywhere from 1-2 boons a week. Its pennies.
Don’t get me wrong. I wish chronoboons were never added to the game. If they are going to exist, I think they should be as expensive as possible.
Also, check the price of flasks before complaining about chronoboon prices, lol
Three Alliance players, one of whom must be a Warlock, walk to SM and summon the other two party members. This is good.

You’re conveniently forgetting that a warlock may only be present in 1 out of 5 groups.
Summoning stones are present in every group.
1 in 5 groups get a summon? People just get used to travelling. Every group guaranteed to have a summon? People just sit around in cities waiting for their summon.
It’s a huge difference.

Unless you want them to make you play on the 1.1-1.12 client making you look in the curse archive for addons in a client that doenst even let you play full acreen window’d and have horrible resolution, you will never have an “authentic vanilla experience”
If they dont make you download 1.2-1.12 on the original blizzard launcher are you really playing vanilla wow?
Just the fact that the servers unlock in phases and not literally start you on the 1.1 client is enough to not be an “authentic classic experience”
A fresh server that starts at the end of all the QoL improvements, gear improvements, and class improvements isnt actual fresh using most purists logic here.
That logic doesn’t hold anymore. If it did then we would be 3 years out from TBC and not rushing through phases. The few people lurking the forums to block any dissent is gatekeeping and gaslighting at it’s finest. This is not the ideal experience and trying to bully people into being quiet is crazy.
