So the new 'solo' option for LFR

Does Blizzard know the queue to get you to last 3 bosses in BoD is placing you in the wrong wing? Do they also realise you cannot even solo half the bosses in BFA due to how the mechanics are? Do they care?

Did you bug report it? no - then probaly not.

Ion Hazzikostas

Q: the route of certain old raids are very complicated, have you considered adding more teleports? Also people are having difficulty soloing old content, for example even if you have the best gear right now Eonar in Antorus is still very difficult, have you considered make them easier to farm?

A: generally in the end of the dungeon there will be npcs or other ways for you to teleport out of the instance, but if players still find it difficult we will consider adding more. In terms of the difficulty in farming, our principle is: at the end of an expansion, you will be able to solo the content two expansions ago fairly easily. So by the end of Shadowlands, you should be able to kill the legion raid bosses fairly easily-- might not be able to one shot them, but you will be able to. When that time comes the majority of players will be able to go back farming legion content, and even BFA, perhaps with a small group of people.

“Do they care?”

Given that mechanics-wise, you still can’t solo Trial of Valor in Legion, and never have been able to, I’d say, “No, they don’t care. Working as intended.”

If that is the one I am thinking, it’s the same premise as one of the ToS raid bosses and you can solo it with some fancy footwork.

But given how a lot of mechanics are in BFA, why bother even allowing us to queue solo if there is never going to be a way to do it? It should be minimum required players, like 2 at least, because a fair number of fights in BFA need 2 minimum.

Great principle when no matter how strong you get it is still impossible due to the mechanics of the fights.

You can actually - it either involves using a class with a pet that can ‘tank’ so you can plant it somewhere and split the bosses - or - with great difficulty, when one of them is casting you can pull away the other just enough to get some decent damage in.

Are you unable to solo all content pre legion? What boss preventsd you mechanically from completing it solo? Ill go solo it to prove a point.

Isn’t the first encounter of the Hellfire Citadel still quite difficult for no-pet classes?

Did you want to tell me how to solo BFA instead since that is what this issue is about? There are some fights in BFA that unless they change the fight entirely, there never be a way to solo them.

No - i had no issues clearing that 3 weeks ago as fury, full clear on mythic.

Did you read the quote?

They are will be concerned to make BFA content soloable by the end of the next expansion.

An LFR queue for old raids wasn’t necessarily a solo queue. It’s so you can still run the old ones for color variants and you can group up and queue. BfA was absolutely not going to be an easy solo after the squish and because it’s the previous expansion from only months ago.

Nice. I might try it myself later. Thanks.

No they nerfed that one so you need less ammo to complete it. It was still possible prior, you just needed as you said either a pet or a lot of speed.

But something like Opulence, unless you can one shot the first phase, like actually just walk in and kill one of the adds with one spell, or hopefully by next expansion they change it so the second add does not leave the room forcing a reset, it will just never be possible.

Same goes for G’huun, you either need to brute force the second phase without doing the orbs, because the moment G’huun leaves the middle section it resets. There is N’Zoth, Conclave, King, Queen’s Court, maybe Za’qul, Skitra and even possibly Hivemind (unless you do the dodgy like some Legion raids).

Do you know the boss mechanics from BFA?

Okay, but I solo’d Tomb of Sargeras on two difficulties during BfA (and I’m not a particularly skilled player…certainly not a skilled DPS’er). My understanding is that we can’t do that anymore (haven’t tried).

Why are we now saying I have to be in the final tier of SL in order to do what I was able to easily do ten clvls and three (or four?) content patches ago?

Because Ion said so and refuses to change it.

Ion also originally said by SL pre-patch we should be able to solo what we have been doing solo during BFA, which meant going solo for mythic legion raids, that was a lie.

Does it matter -

They nerfed something so it was easier to complete solo by your own wqords. The will make changes to bfa raids to make them soloable by the end of the next xpac.

Do we go round and around again?

Yup, sure was. I watched quite a few people quit over all of this, too.

No, of course not, the mechanics mean absolutely nothing at all and is not a roadblock in anyway shape or form as to how you can beat a boss.

Opulence, go, tell us all how we can solo this boss.

Ill glady tell you how to solo it - at the end of the next xpac - when its appropiate based on when the devs stated it should be appropiate. Until then its not intended to be soloable.
