Yes i know them, split raid in half and kill 2 mini bosses equally while moving down 2 seperate corridors, meeting in a final room for boss.
A potential solo fix to this very boss could be a simply requiring a single mini boss to be engaged, based on how i have seen blizz change bosses in the past to make them soloable. Just look at the skip the added in ICC to ‘the dragon you need to heal’ because not all classes have a targeted heal.
Oh so the answer is not “at the end of the next expansion”? You mean Blizzard will need to change the boss fight or it will be impossible to solo for like the next 6 years?
The answer is by the end of the next expansion, when it is relevent. It isnt relevent now and they dont need to change it because you want it changed. I have my BoD xmog, my glory achievement and the only reason i ever need to go back is if i want the mount - i know i cannot solo it right now so when i want to clear it i create a small group - or in the hopes by the end of the next expansion, they tune accordingly so i can solo it on mythic.
Hey it’s OK to say you don’t know, because I don’t know if fights like Opulence or N’Zoth will ever be able to be done solo on any difficulty until we can simply brute force the fights.
The fact is this, Blizzard originally told us at the end of BFA that by SL pre-patch we would be able to solo what we have been during BFA, that was a lie. Fact is it took Blizzard some 4 years or more before they nerfed the first boss in Hellfire, when by that point it didn’t even really need to be nerfed.
And I can see the same things happening with some BFA raid bosses, we will simply out muscle the boss before Blizzard ever make changes, like how it is in Legion, once you know the mechanics you are able to solo the fights that are still technically not able to be done solo because we are strong enough to make it happen on certain difficulties.
I agree, and it feels super weird to lose power after leveling up. I used to solo all up to mythic Eonar (Minus KJ), and now I am having trouble soloing Mythic Gul’dan! It is very odd.
If you look at it as a business model it’s not dumb at all. They just should never have came out towards the end of BFA and said what they said only to renege it a short time later.
As a business forcing us to wait until the end of 2 more expansions before doing what we want to do is to them another 2-4 years of subs and another entire expansion or two we need to buy.
Like if I want to solo BFA raids, I now have to wait until the end of 11.0, that is 3-3.5+ years away and I need to buy the 11.0 expansion, sub for long enough to get strong enough by the end of the expansion and than come back to BFA? Or in the case of people wanting to solo Legion raids like we were doing during BFA, we need to wait 18+ months before we can do it.
Assuming we stay subbed that’s a win for Blizzard, but we are not staying subbed. Many people left the moment they went back on their first promise, like instantly, because like the flying drama we had in WoD it was a straight up deal breaker for some people. Time will tell, but I don’t think it was a smart thing to do, they should have just fixed the scaling and called it a day.
There actually seems to be no enrage timer that I can see with that one. Because of the way Demo pets work now, when I tried, i attempted to split them by having my pet tank one. Launched some dreadstalkers at the other, they got its threat and - oops, demo pets all follow your primary pets commands now, so they rushed off to help my wrathguard dragging the bosses together.
20 minutes later I got them both to 25%, down came Odyn and defeated him shortly after.
The Coven is the one that’s annoying me, I can find someone to bring in for that but then they either have to be willing to do that one boss and leave or stick around and possibly eat into loot?
You can go in alone but that doesn’t mean it’s intended to be solo. I mean I can walk into Mythic De Other Side alone right now that doesn’t mean it’s “solo content.”
It’s not legacy loot, so it should still work the same as it is now. It’s when loot becomes legacy that people eat into your loot so take one of each class or loot type with you and you’ll be fine.
The entire point of a solo LFR queue is intended for it to be done solo, or at least that you are technically strong enough to beat the boss assuming they were a training dummy, which is the case, the ones I have fought so far are would be possible if not for the mechanics.
In cases where the mechanics are whack just take one other person with you, because that’s pretty much half the fights in BFA and unless the mechanics are severely changed it looks like it will be a non solo event for at least 4+ years until you are able to one shot the bosses and bypass the mechanics.
Does Ion know how the Eonar fight works on mythic difficulty lol? His answer sounds like by the end of shadowlands we will outgear the raids again and sure I believe that but doesn’t make fights that require multiple people not require multiple people.
Eonar mythic would definitely be soloable with the removal of the ship/crystals though.
People keep saying “solo queue,” but that isn’t what it is. It’s an “old content queue,” yea generally that means you can queue for it solo but that’s not it’s only use. Some groups use it to get the LFR colors of transmogs, having a group of 3-4 people, one of each armor type, is probably the best option.
No they don’t. Despite knowing that people could easily solo legion mythic raids at the end of BFA they squished people and made it so you had to bring 4-5 people with you again after the fact during pre-patch and even still now.
This is not a good excuse sorry and I don’t like how he puts this. N’zoth mythic is probably never going to be soloable because of the way the mechanics work and with the attitude they have regarding this answer I doubt they ever will make it soloable. I forsee a mythic KJ situation where unless you bring a few people that are willing to memorize mechanics you’re probably SoL on trying to get anything from that version of the fight.
