So I was swapping around on my toons when I hopped back on my demon hunter and low and behold nekkid as the day he was made. bags gone bank empty no heart of azeroth all gone. still had my gold though and none of its on the item restore page so where did it go?
Good news: Nothing is gone! I am looking at your character and can see everything is still there.
Bad news: There is a pretty rare bug that can cause a display issue with your inventory. This will require a Game Master to help out with.
Please submit a ticket through our support website so they can help you out with this. If you want to reference this post in your ticket as well, that’s fine

fixed itself after I relogged on him almost 20 times oh well only 2 hours of my life wasted
