They should have just done a raid on Teldrassil, weren’t there people burning down the tree anyways? It wasn’t all Sylvanas.
But then again, it would just make the Alliance players more angry at the Horde players, and the Horde would have more jokes. (We know some important figures died, they could have been in Teldrassil. Tyrande could have been a raid boss who escaped).
Not that I want the Horde to raid a city, but it would have made sense.
Also the raid on the Troll city was fine. Tanajii knew what Sylvanas did, and I am sure her father did, by even letting the Horde there, they are basically fine with what happened. And we didn’t need the powerful allies joining up with the Horde (Which is actually mentioned on the Ally side about them). So that’s not really a bad thing for us.
Evaded every single Sylvanas trap, forced the Horde to retreat, captured a major Horde leader, denied the Horde a city.
Nope. Not an Alliance victory, obviously.
Dismantled every single aspect of the Horde War Campaign.
Nope. Still nothing close to an Alliance victory.
Invaded the Troll City, killed many of its citizens, dismantled its navy (the entire reason the Horde were interested in the Zandalari), killed its leader. All because they were allied with the Horde.
Still not an Alliance victory.
Every single aspect of the BFA storyline since the Tree burned has been an Alliance victory. The Horde has been failing on every front possible.
What did the alliance do for the high elves? Let them die.
What did they do for the humans of lordaeron? Let them die.
What did they do for the night elves? Let them die.
Zero follow up on any of these too. Alliance doesn’t protect people. What exactly is the purpose?
Oh I just remember. Second war I believe the gnomes were overrun and didn’t ask for help because they knew they’d get none because the humans decided orcs were more important.
Alliance at this point is stormwind human interest above all.
We didn’t capture Saurfang; he gave up. Then a small band of horde just waltz in Stormwind and get away right through Jaina.
Dismantled every aspect of the horde war campaign? Are you nuts? Sylvanas is totally defeated, then, right?
As far as defeating things released this patch, that’s meaningless. Tell you what, next patch, YOU can defeat whatever new thing that has no meaning or weight to our lore while we lay waste to something integral to the horde.
How’s that for a deal?
What do I want? A FIST BUMP as promised.
It looks like we’re not even going to get exclusive bee mounts.
I think the expectation is Sylvana’s death. She started it all, she burned down the tree, and she is still getting away.
We also know she’s probably never going to die on the account of her popularity. So the Night Elves and Tyrande/Malfurion will never get the real vengeance they ever so desire. (Although I do think those points are good Alliance victory, but does it hurt Sylvanas? Did she react at all to the Zanadari being attacked?)
Of course not! There’s no history there, it’s all meaningless.
Just like Theramore, we’re going to have to just deal with it and the horde will get away with it…again.
And ifd Tyrande dares to do anything similar, the Alliance will be called evil.
Just like when Jaina, who lost Theramore and people she cared for, got called evil because of what happened. (She definitely wasn’t in the right, but Jaina can’t be compared to Sylvanas really).
Got to say. Battle For Azeroth. Faction split. If you think about it, Blizzard did a good job diving the two factions, because even the players are arguing constantly over who’s rgood and evil, and what side doesn’t deserve justice.
Maybe the players should kill the ones causing the war. Jaina and Sylvanas. Be done with it. Then can we have peace.
What aspect of the War Campaign for the Horde has been a success?
Stealing the Scepter of the Tides or whatever it was called? Oh wait. Alliance stole it back.
Recruiting the Zandalari Navy? Oh wait. The Alliance destroyed it.
Finding Derek Proudmoore’s Corpse? Oh wait. Back in Alliance hands.
Turning the Tidemage whatever guy into a Forsaken? Oh wait. He died helping the Alliance.
What of the Horde War Campaign has been a success?
The small band of Horde that just waltzed in Stormwind didn’t rescue Sourfang.
Why is defeating things released this patch meaningless? Why can’t I say the Horde defeating things released in the prepatch (The Tree Burning) is meaningless?
What else would qualify as a Fist Bump? You have literally won everything since the Tree burned?
Alliance leaders are NEVER allowed to be intelligent or thoughtful or have any strategic or tactical superiority. In short, don’t count on it. I am sure lore wise we will follow Thrall to whatever win comes out because well…Thrall and Horde.
Alliance succeeded in the ultimate goal all of their zone stories and the initial bfa quests where as the horde failed in all of them resulting in uldir being a thing.
Successfully convinced a horde general to start a rebellion against us.
BFA = one big alliance win so far. If you can’t see that your are choosing to ignore it.
It’s more we know she’s not going to die. Whatever happens, we might fight Sylvanas in a raid, but it’s going to be like Jaina in her raid. I would be incredibly shocked if they do actually kill Sylvanas off, given her popularity and how many fanboys love her for all kinds of different things including her looks. And then there’s the fangirls.
Blame the bad writing that puts every demigod on the Alliance side. If the Alliance were written as smart the war would be over in 15 seconds due to the stacked sides.
Want the Alliance to be written smarter? Ask for stronger Horde characters. The only counter to the /godmodeon.exe version of the Alliance leaders is they have to act stupid at times.
