So the Alliance are just supposed to forget

Look at the first trailer and tell me that’s not about red vs. blue. It’s literally called world of WARcraft for crying out loud.

That’s because Blizzard’s writing is trash. :man_shrugging:

I don’t care, I tend to not take these things too seriously… in this game we’ve always more or less were non-canon being taken for a ride through the story whether you liked it or not…

Games like Fable back in the day would give a bigger sense of going down a good or evil path.

This game has just started to experiment with that and it’s why I’m not really invested too much, just want to see how it plays out and enjoy the game.

If you don’t want to side with Jaina, and ‘‘forget’’ then by all means don’t do the War Campaign and sit around in Stormwind roleplaying as a troll or go do pet battles or something I donno.

And that makes our attack on dazaralor even more stupid!
The fleet is destroyed! We no longer had to fight against zandalar, even if they joined the horde!

In the end, we broke up with Jaina wounded and Mekkatorque in a coma!
What a difference for Syl and his gang, fleeing in their magic balloon, after trying to kill Anduin and his entourage, for the 3rd time, on the same day with more plague!
And without any loss! Lol’themar? Ok
Want to compute Saurfang as loss?
He wanted to commit suicide!
Varok stayed behind because he wanted to, not because he wanted to defend the city until the end!
He can not even be considered loss because he is still alive!
Lol’themar? OK!
Baine? Selling health!
Nathanos? ZzzZ!
Syl? Only with the mind occupied, planning the next evil!

And Syl sacrificed the city to kill the Alliance, and not because she was losing only, because until Jaina arrived, she was letting go blight, certain of the victory that her weapon would bring, and for which none of the Ally liders got ready!

So many people with more experience than Anduin, and nobody remembered the blight? I feel very dumb for following military leaders with years of activity who forget such a monumental detail!
They forget the only reason that makes forsaken a terrible threat! Blight!
A Pyrrhic victory! Pump fist moment!

Nuke Orgrimmar? God! Not!
Imagine the Alliance delivering a painful blow in a capital of the horde, just as the horde always brings in our capitals!
The gods forbid!
The most we can hope for, is some Taurajo camp!

The Alliance, like always.

There will probably be TWO horde factions after it’s all said and done because devs literally have no idea how to write the Alliance.

They sure aren’t going to write a scenario where horde players will reroll Alliance.

We always have a greater threat every single time. The faction conflict is completely pointless and not the games focus. We are at war with world ending threats. The faction war is small conflicts and a cold war.

And yes blizzards writing is often bad.

Sorry, I must have missed it.

No, I like Thunderbluff and I don’t think Taurens are our enemy.
See my story idea for bringing in the spaceship.

how the heck are they gonna split the horde up though?

No, WE didn’t make it uninhabitable, Sylvanas did…

That’s a huge difference.

i think by the end of this thread we should hug it out and become forum bffs. <3

Easy; Sylvanas’ horde and Thrall’s horde. Now you have two horde factions and Blizzard can have a devgasm.

For the record, I’m just frustrated at a decade of really poor Alliance decisions that has resulted in a large exodus to the horde. It’s gotten to the point that there is no BG that the Alliance can be expected to win. The Alliance aren’t in the running for anything really.
I try to have Alliance pride but there isn’t anyone at Blizzard - not a single dev - who has that pride. It shows in their writing and how they handle the factions.
Pretty soon, the game will either die or the Alliance will just be replaced with bots or aided by bots in PvP because - through their neglect - we will no longer be a functioning faction.

Sorry if it spilled over. :frowning:

Blizz fails at handling 2 factions we won’t get 3. And sylvies faction would be her and scattered loyalists of mainly undead and belfs.

Most of the horde is not on her side. Hence another civil war.

Well, I mean it is really hard to make a lawful good faction anything but boring. That is one of the reasons I hated playing with a Lawful good paladin in Dungeons and Dragons. The moment someone rolls a paladin, the game suddenly gets boring because how you can’t do anything MORALLY GREY without the paladin getting pissed off.

I don’t know why the devs chose to make the Alliance lawful good. It would have been a much better story if they had actually made them morally grey - maybe had Tyrande or Genn take it too far and do something horrible to the horde. In that case, you could have had a choice whether or not to seek vengence with Genn or forgive and let live with Anduin. But nope - lawful good, every one of them.

So you have a large horde faction and a smaller one. There are plenty of people on the forums who are Sylv fans and they’d happily join a third faction.

Like me for example

Heck, if she went full lich queen, I would love to join the faction Scourge 2.0

When the story writers aren’t handcuffed by dev decisions, they can write some interesting/fun stuff.

Its only when it feels like they are told the outcome (war campaign) and told to write around specific actions that it gets bad.

Yes pretty much this, The game developers do what they think is cool/neat and that’s what trashes any semblance to a cohesive story, a writer tries to put together.

NO, it’s really NOT. I’m an author; I write two different book series. Lawful good doesn’t mean perfect. Lawful good is just like chaotic evil; a series of choices, not an unbreakable pattern.
You will see a villain stop to save a puppy, even though in other ways, he’s chaotic evil. But there is no such thing as a realistic character who is 100% anything.
REAL characters are complex. THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL POINT, but it’s like saying there’s anyone who agrees 100% with Republicans or Democrats.
People may agree with the majority of what they’re doing or specific candidates, but anyone who has a brain by definition CANNOT be 100% this or that.

That’s not human.

you write books? can you get them on amazon? :stuck_out_tongue:

Canonically it wouldn’t function well at all. Don’t forget players don’t exist in wow lore. And sylvie is continueing to follow the same gary/arthas story we have seen in the past.

Its reasonable to see sylvie getting the axe or go full villain and escape somewhere. Only to come back at a latter time.

Blizz saying anything as it stands isn’t believable.

Of course, but I’ve gotten in trouble listing them in the past.
You can PM me if they have that here.

I too would like to see the Alliance commit genocide. But are people really still upset over Theramore? It was a military target that was invading the southern Barrens and attempting to siege Thunder Bluff.
