They might, but now that the server is closed, the amount of bots can only go down. Its a step.

2 ways to fix the auction house.

  1. Use the retail auction house

  2. Break Addons that scan the AH constantly

If they banned the AH bots prices would likely fall since there are thousands flipping low priced stuff. That would be a good step I guess

Well, you just said " you don’t think they have backup accounts made months ago that are ready to go" Also all these people who are “returning” should have been force relocated after being inactive for so long as well if the population was already max.

Without switching to retail auction house, TSM is a big part of the problem. Auction house was a disaster for mega servers on BFA launch and launch for wotlk will be just as bad.

TSM is much less of an issue on the AH over something like Auctionator or Auction buddy, it doesn’t mass scan the AH constantly. It uses an external program to pull in AH data.

Both the others have to manually scan to build their DBs.

I suppose, I also don’t scan with mine but use the heck out of nexus hub. The wow ui sorting is god awful and I refuse to use it.

Ok well add those as well, because anything that scans multiplied by how many people are scanning is part of the problem.

Eh, just throw in the retail ah, no need to break anything, it’s the bad database of the old AH that causes issues.

I agree, I can only assume that is what is happening. I suspect they aren’t saying anything because they don’t know how easy of a change it will be.

Likely as hard as it was to change it in retail, so they don’t want to put in the effort to give players a better experience.

You can’t use the AH right with addons, and you can’t use it without.

So many “internal auction errors” even trying to use the base UI
