So... That new Store Mount

I dont like making Rage posts. Im inclined to give Blizzard the Benefit of the doubt. But Dude… Come on guys… really?

Couldn’t post this lack of feedback in one of the already existing store mount complaint threads?

What feedback should I give? Im stating my displeasure. They give us a cool and interesting patch and then spit in our faces with a store mount cooler than any mount you can find as an earned reward. Its not okay

Here’s an unusual concept that many here fail to grasp…

If an optional item is in the store, and you don’t like what it is, don’t buy it.

As a consumer you have that choice.

I totally agree with you. I wont buy it. But guess what? they spent time and energy on this item. Instead of investing in cool rewards to keep players interested for the long term they went the short quick buck option and the game is worse for it.

It’s just like CoD, they put lots of new stuff to unlock in the game as you play but all the cool stuff you need to purchase :joy:

How did it harm anything? 8.2 added a ton of new mounts. Many them unique and never before seen. One dragon going to the store isn’t really a big deal.

I’m gonna guess you’re a fan of asmon?

Just out of curiosity…

How long have you been active on the game in the past year sub wise? Because if it was more than 6 months you could’ve been saving money and got the mount for nothing.

While I deff believe they do this stuff to bulk up end of Q numbers. It is also a nice little bonus to those of us that have been playing the game for over a decade and have ridden out all the good and bad. So for those of us that were already apart of the 6 month club this is a pretty nice freebie along with the savings on subscription cost.

Haha, i actually wrote that post and clicked on youtube and the first suggested video is him raging about the store mount xD

Mounts are all subjective. Some people love it, some people hate it. Some love the mounts that were added in for this patch, others want a store mount.

The amazing thing about cosmetic store items is: You don’t need to get them if you don’t want!!! It’s a thing called options. Honestly it’s looking like most store mounts are cool idea mounts that don’t belong in many zones in the game (of course there are exceptions, but many are still fancy looking all the same). They’re basically a premium option, and honestly? Cool, so long as it’s not the only way to get a mount skin (like how Guild Wars 2 does it).

Be angry over patch 8.2. Be angry over time gating or whatever. But being angry at store mounts is practically a meme in itself now.

Ive been subbed pretty consistently since bc. I took some time off in WoD but ive played through every expansion on this or another character.

this is subjective, some people might think that bee is the coolest mount ever. some others may think the sub mount isn’t all that.

O my lol

To be on topic: I dont care if there is a mount that cost money or not. To me it doesn’t effect anything or anyone. /shrugs/ I’m gonna be getting it cause I love the model, etc. If I find it worth the money I will spend. If not…then it’s not gonna do me any harm.

This is the dumbest comment you see in threads about store mounts.

Everything is optional, playing included, doesn’t mean you can’t be unsatisfied about things.

I love the new mount. Matches my armor very nicely. I always sub for 6 months at a time. It is a bit cheaper to do so.

Try looking at your other posts. All information you could have put into the original post. And put into the other threads about this.

Subjective. And no one “spit in your face.”

How is the game worse when it’s one reskinned mount that you can get for free and there’s hundreds in game and new rewards incoming?

It’s just another dragon.

Meanwhile 8.2 rewards a FREAKING SPINNING DISK mount and you honestly think another Dragon is better?

It’s called finding ways to increase revenues.

Why is everyone so enraged when a for profit company does something to actually generate a profit?

If the game is really “the worse for it” (spending time on a store mount instead of in game stuff, according to the OP) then they will lose more income in lost subs than they would gain in store mount sales, all because they spent time on the store thing instead of on in game stuff.

Do you think a well established company would have a business plan that does that? Do you really think they sat down in a meeting and willingly decided to make the game worse just so they could possibly sell a few fancy items in the store?
