by selecting warrior on the SoD character creation screen? yes 
I think some people feel they know the answer, but it seems like they may be misinterpreting, or misreading what has been stated.
As far what the devs have stated SoD is,
I’d be curious where people are getting the idea that all specs and all classes should be performing equally. And yes, I’ve seen the warrior meme, it doesn’t seem to be making such a claim.
I sure hope so. Saw enough warriors in classic to last a lifetime. Half of the raid DPS were warriors. Warriors dominated everything. Stop crying and give some other classes a chance to shine. Ya’ll had your time.

SoD Phase 3 should make warrior the top DPS in raids. But also give them cool new abilities like bladestorm which lets them can level faster and AoE down dungeons so they can farm gold easier or sell boosts - it would be a fun way to change up the meta if warriors were the #1 aoe class 
You really need a lot of support to be competitive as a Warrior right now.
You need a Druid for WS and FF, and you need your Priests to run Homunculus. You’re blue parsing at best if the priest relies on PoM, and green parsing at best without WS.

All sod has done is make me give up on anything but no changes Vanilla. Every time they touch it it gets worse.

Ya’ll cry for no reason, I swear. Warriors are in 6th place right now for DPS, if you use 95th%. They are the 3rd best melee DPS, just behind Melee hunters. The ONLY place they are not good at, is in solo PvP and solo farming mobs that are higher level. Warriors are perfectly fine.
Of course I setup macros for everything. Takes like yours are an outlier. Most people who play a warrior (especially when they’ve leveled an alt) are in agreement with me. There isn’t anything a warrior can do this phase that another class cannot do better (by a large margin). Go play one and see.

Dude the Warrior in my guild parses 600-700 dps every boss except Thermaplugg…gotta be a you issue.
It will be interesting to see what happens going forward, and how things play out.
Priests have been incredibly strong healers for P1 and P2, and are great DPS as well now in P2, but are among the lowest numbers represented in raid logs, even though you might happily bring 2-3 priests in a “well-rounded” raid group right now.
Should the devs be making changes to priests to increase those numbers?
I also feel like some of the changes to hunter runes, and pve performance are answers to P1, but simply aren’t very relevant to P2 - almost as if there was a TODO list created the first week of SoD, people went different directions, went on vacation, came back and planned different ways to solve them (class design, level design, etc.) came back and implemented them, but the problems no longer existed anyway, because level cap had changed and there were new runes, talents, and stats scaling.
People have been saying this, I think, as long as WoW has been around, “Play what you want.”
If a class doesn’t clearly come to mind when you think of that, then maybe “what you want” is something different. If it is to be needed.
Like maybe you want to fill a role that every group wants/needs, but maybe you don’t want to be judged too harshly on your performance, that hasn’t been a class - that has typically been a healer. In SoD, Alliance side at least, Feral with Wild Strikes also fits that role beautifully.
Maybe it’s something different, like you want to be the top DPS in every group. Well, you might be chasing a meta then, and since we’re chartering somewhat new ground, we might not know what that meta is going to be until we get there!
It is WoW Classic as the base, so we have traditional numbers to go by, but we probably won’t really know until we get there whether things play out the same at 60 as they would on a non seasonal Classic Era server.
Anyway, I sure don’t mind if warrior is top DPS. Indeed, it’s what I personally expect to happen, eventually… or at least pretty close. I’d still probably play it either way though, because warrior is super fun in PVP and that’s a slightly more dynamic and fun aspect of the gameplay for me anyway. But I do have favorite classes for different aspects of the game.
Warriors are fine in EVERY aspect of the game EXCEPT PVP survivability. If you cant wrap your head around that you just suck at it i dont know what else to tell you…

All I do on my war is raid log. I think it’s pretty much mandatory to have alts if you have a warrior.

There is MUCH more to the game than just raiding one time for one hour every 3 days. Especially if you want to farm to get consumes and gear to perform better in said raids. Instead of banning gold buyers, Blizzard should just put players in 2 week warrior jail as far as I’m concerned.

He’s just a bad troll at this point, no one with a brain actually thinks Warriors are OP or even decent for that matter. They’re beyond a free kill in PvP.

There’s no point playing a warrior the way it is now. Class design for warriors is stuck in Classic Era. The datamined runes for P3 are more of the same: unimaginative flat % buffs or neutered Cata abilities. Other classes play like Cata or retail compared to warriors. If you wanna stick with SOD, I’d personally reroll. They’re not going to update warrior much if at all in terms of how it plays.
The only way you’re going 3v1 with a warrior is against ultra-bad players with no keybinds, terrible gear and no CC on their bars.
