So should warrior mains just cancel subs until phase 5?

Oh, I’ve stopped PvP’ing in phase 2, I think the balance and power creep is awful. With the new runes, gnomer gear and sham buffs it’s just silly. I mained Warlock this phase since I saw warrior would be absolute trash in both PvE and PvP (Atleast they were good in raids in P1). STV event was absolutely horrible for a warlock, so as soon as I got my couple items I stopped doing that. I actually had a lot of fun in P1 pvp’ing after the -20% rune healing to priests and adjustments to hunter pets (not being solo’d by a wind serpent in <10 sec  ) I thought Ashenvale was a lot of fun when you had to PvP to trigger the event, that actually felt like fun wPvP having group vs group open world skirmishes that were not organized and purely objective focused. I was sad when they put it on a timer and made it purely PvE.

PvP is the state that is in because you dont have any “PvPers” involved in providing their opinions in SoD Dev meetings. The people in those meetings likely have 0 experience around PvP. This is evident by the devs reply saying some classes seem OP because they are one shotting low geared people. I have near BiS on my rogue + warrior and still get pretty much globaled. Details will show you going from 100% - 0% in 1.5 seconds.

I personally dont understand why they dont just scale our hp in all areas of the game except raids + dungeons so PvE isnt affected. With the damage output right now by casters there should be like a 50% HP increase tbh so that you can actually have a chance at healing or stopping the incoming one shot dumps.

People thought it was fun to one shot people, but then it eventually gets boring because you receive have 0 challenges to overcome

I’m a Ranged Hunter main and am literally last on PvE charts. But I do well in PvP…should I cancel my sub because I’m a ranged Hunter main? Warriors are crushing it in PvE, absolutely crushing it…just because one aspect of the game is subpar for you doesn’t mean you quit…so whiny.

I would suggest they just reduce all dmg done to other players ~20% across the board. I think 25% DR + the WSG 5% DR and -5% crit was a little too much DR in phase 1 when people did not have quite as much burst, but we all got more burst and now have 0 DR so it’s pretty silly. Healers are always in demand in PvP, but with the current state of PvP, healers are pretty much nonexistent on Alli because they serve no purpose if everyone just dies in 1-2 GCDs.

you either gonna have bursty pvp meta or stack healers and cant do enough damage to kill anyone meta. pick your poison. wow pvp never was good and never will be good. vanilla pvp system is a grindy honor/rep farm and nothing else.

Warriors are crushing what? I did more DPS in pre-raid greens on my warlock 6 weeks ago than my almost BiS warrior does?

Comparing raiding to pvp is not the right approach. You can complete a raid without being top dps and still play the game for the duration of an encounter granted you do the mechanics. In pvp you cant. In pvp you charge in and if there is 1 ele shaman to chain lightning to lava burst combo youre dead. Thats not even factoring in a random starsurge, mind spike + SW:D.

PvPing on a warrior is not fun nor is it fun to fight one. I stopped queueing on my warrior and just play mage/rogue to try to play to the one-shot meta since Blizzard devs cant figure pvp out.

If you REALLY think the devs are gonna make warriors OP in the final phase… LOL. (don’t get me wrong, I think warriors should be strong but it aint happening)

You accidentally said ele sham instead of enhance, I’ve been 1-shot by stormstrike procc’ing windfury in full mail and a couple pieces of plate  standard is 2 GCDs though, if they dont crit with stormstrike or have WF on then they need to shock or lava lash for another 400-900

“Every class up to warrior level”

Warrior awful in pvp and pve farming
Me seeing mages solo farm dungeons at 40 for massive gold
Hunters
Warlocks making bank off of summoning
Spriest, Boomy, Shaman PVP

My brother in christ, they were not honest about bringing “everyone up to scale”

Yeah man, being low on the dps chart as well as having nothing going for us outside of raid versus literally every single other class sure sounds like they made that promise well by bringing everyone up too us.

Hating warrior is fine, but hating the most objectively popular class in this iteration of the game and expecting people not too roll it is truly one of the most dented takes ever.

Breaking news: People play fun/popular class in certain iteration of the game.

OMG. PEOPLE ARE MAINING UNHOLY IN WRATH SOD???

I’m leveling up a warrior, but yeah just for pve. I feel like I’ll progress in dmg with skill and keeping up rage. There are a lot of really good warrior players in SoD and a lot of people working in their skill level. It’s still a really good class.

If you do not have a group that is designed to support you, then I would not play warrior. The warriors that are good and doing well have 9 other players set up to maximize their play.

Just cancel sub. Devs have no idea what class value means. Warrior should do the same dps as enhancement shaman and feral but do not look at what those classes bring on top of having the same dps.

This feels like an experiment to see how bad they can make the class balance until people just give up on Classic altogether.

Out of the characters I play at max level (Hunter, Warrior, Druid, Paladin), warrior is my favorite, by a pretty long shot, to PVP on in SoD right now.

I’m curious if you’ve played warrior in WoW Classic before, or if you thought/heard “warrior is OP in Classic” and rolled one.

If you don’t like warrior in decent gear at max level right now, I wouldn’t say it gets better. Other than maybe in raiding when the mobs/bosses aren’t all mechanical.

There is a 100% experience increase right now (maybe forever?) and a lot of people leveling, plus level cap is only level 40 still, so there’s plenty of time to reroll to something else.

Mage has traditionally been the best solo instance/open world content farmer, and hunters have also traditionally had some interesting farms. Early in WoW Classic’s history there were a lot of videos on how to farm content, dungeon one-pulls, and gold farm spots, and sometimes you’d see rogues, warlock/paladin may get a special mention here, too (I found DM East lasher farming to be pretty fun/easy on my Paladin, for example - but mage was still miles ahead).

For SoD, with new abilities things have changed. Mages in addition to being mages, and miles ahead of everyone else now also have healing, so it won’t be a surprise if they pull ahead from their already strong lead over everyone else in Classic Era for having incredibly fun solo world and instanced content farms.

How about you play what you want, rather than going to the local Warrior shop and talking with the Warrior sales people, because you already know what they are going to say?

Good luck out there, friend!

:woman_shrugging:

so yeah if playing the game isn’t fun why would you stay subbed… Seems like a no-brainer to me. It seems like you corelate facerolling things with fun though so actual playing the game was never going to be fun for you so I’m confused why you’re playing in the first place

So then what was the issue with Classics balance? If you can have fun without being the strongest spec then that’s great, but why are we doing SoD and changing class balance?

Nah spend the $60 on 3 top tier steam games and have fun for a few months then come back if it’s good

No.

Phase five is far too soon for y’all to resub.

Warriors are playing the game wrong.
