On the one hand, I think this is actually a pretty cool idea, especially as something which in theory adds a little life/extra gameplay at a time during a patch’s life cycle where typically new content of any kind is finished.
On the other hand, as a solo player, there is literally nothing in that announcement for me. I’m skeptical they would institute the announced raid changes for LFR, and with no other changes, there’s really no reason for me to log in once Season 4 hits…which, I might add, isn’t necessarily a bad thing for me, as I’m sure I’ll fill that time with other games and activities.
Hoping there are some other changes to be announced for Season 4, but not counting on any.

Actually, I’d prefer them to hire whatever help they need in order to provide quality content to their customers, not try and repackage old content that we’ve already spent years playing.

/sigh
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’ve thought for quite a while now that it would be nice if the M+ pool included dungeons from past expansions. It sucks just to let them rot, when a lot of them are very fun. Not to mention the prospect of making previous raids in the expansion viable in one way or another. At least at the end of the expac when progress on the current stuff has stalled.
That’s the “fresh take.” Including different stuff like that in a season that’s not just for a week here and there during timewalking.
And that’s what Timewalking was for.
Season 4 is them saying “how can we make the probably 12-14 month content drought until 10.0 as bearable as possible with as little work as possible.”

I think it sounds AWESOME. This is a great idea.
Isnt that technically enrage? Now what they could do is increase the amount of loot depending on kill time
Season 4 seems like it’s blizzards way to keep their player base while not putting much effort and not providing new content. Atleast till they release another shipwreck of an expansion.

The alternative is moving up a difficulty level.
Instead, we get “Oh, you thought this raid was overtuned, overdesigned, and overstuffed with mechanics already? HAHA get ready for Tyrannical/Bolstering/Explosive/Necrotic Sanctum of the First Ones!” trolololololo

You know, and I know, that it would never work like that. If berserk is in 6 minutes, you would have to beat it in 3:59 to get the same number of drops as before.

Start putting timers on raids aswell as make things interesting for tanks and I might start being interested in them again.

Does the entire raid (not just single boss) have an enrage timer? Cause that would be new.
But if you’re not passing the first enrage you’re not passing the raid? What’s the point of having a timer on a whole raid on top of having individual timers on bosses?
Meanwhile you can fail the timer in M+ and still get loot? But fail timer in raid and get no loot? There are more significant time constraints in clearing raids than there are in m+ imo?
Although adding a timer to earn the CE could be interesting (not saying they should, just that full run completion time counting for CE/mount is the closest they’d probably get to making raid+ like the m+ timer )
Hey, it’s all speculation at this point. In the end, I was never a fan of what M+ did to dungeons. I’m worried about raids in the same way as it’s the content I stay in the game for.

Seasons are not content. Its hamster wheels with a rotting carrot on a stick.

That’s what I think yes I think they took what would have been a great idea which is making older content still relevant and then completely ruined it by adding stuff that’s only going to make it appeal to the people who are already doing the harder content.
They should have taken it made the gear maybe a little bit better than LFR but maybe not as good as normal and it could have been something for the dad guilds that don’t want to deal with the current stuff.
That would have actually been good. Especially if they took some raids from previous expansions and did that. That way it’s not the best source of gear but it gives you something to do if you don’t like the current raids but also don’t want to just steamroll legacy content.
As always they take a great idea and completely miss the point. Plenty of very casual dad guilds would probably love to do older content raids that were scaled up a bit and gave you gear that was decent for what you might be doing in the current expansion.

You are so wrong. On every point.
Adding a timer to the raid means less standing around and waiting for things and more time actually doing things.
