They’d probably slim it down is my guess.
I doubt they’ll have all choices up to choose from unless they do some different pvp-centric MMO where you kind of have to take what you get with their balancing or lack there of.
A developer can do whatever (code is code), it does not mean another company will do a MMO.

As a programmer, you can code a watch, a car, a television, an alarm clock, a website, an app, a game, etc.
Different languages, same shlt.
While I agree, it is still relevant here. WoW is the largest and most well known MMO, and if RIOT truly is hiring the OG Blizz devs there’s a good chance RIOT could create a truly special MMO. Meaning it is something WoW players would like to keep an eye on.
when you google “riot mmo” the first thing that comes is
" We’re Making an MMO. Queue Up. No, you’re not dreaming, we’re working on an MMORPG based in the League universe!".

I assume that software developers can work on a variety of different types of software. It’s a bit of a pointless question, OP, sorry. We have no idea of their individual interests, offers, life choices, etc.
However, as Riot has stated they are working on an MMO, it seems like that’s happening, so I guess it’s ‘wait and see’.
i really hope so…
i’ve kinda been waiting for the “next big thing” so the more companies that are making games and competing the better…
also, a little pressure on blizzard could spark innovation here…which would be great

No, the genre is basically dead being held up by the last few games that made it to this point. Making a new one is now a passion project from older/former players of the genre and have money to burn.

idk anon seems to be an ok person why all the hate. someone actually just needs to get it over with an put one out quit announcing crap and get on it not 2 yrs later or whatever we need a new mmo with new ideas just like wow was when it came out. cause mmo’s right now are so stale and garbage and people play and they never get better cause why we pay.
