“why you got Beavis and Butthead tattooed on your forearms?”
“You wouldn’t get it”
actual conversation I had outside a hot topic around early 2000s

Careful OP, I got a week ban for posting on this topic. This forum gets easily triggered.
much selfnesses
You didnt get a week ban for posting about this topic. Even if you got 200 flags against you. Its a cool story though.
It has be more than the just players though. There seems to be an active campaign by the moderating team to silence certain criticism. I’m not sure if they are fans of the writing or really like the writer’s but threads like this get flagged and deleted for no reason.
If you ask for a reason they just reply with some stock corporate reply about the ToS.
I made the post, I got 1 week ban my dude. I posted a Warcraft 3 cinematic and the DF one the OP posted here. It got flagged, and then I got a ban. I appealed it, and they said I was trolling.
The mods are engaging in damage control on the forums. This expansion is not good.
The mob on these forums just flags anything they don’t like, they abuse the heck out of the system.
In fairness, Harbingers was not really an in-game thing. They put it in-game so their work would be seen by people who don’t pay attention outside of the game, but Harbingers was very much pre-launch promotional material.
That doesn’t really change the fact that it was more interesting than any Dragonflight cutscene including the cinematic reveal trailer.
But let’s at least not pretend some random sidequest in Legion outclasses all of Dragonflight. Because that’s not what Harbingers was.
Warbingers was and still is amazing. “Beware…of me!”
Hell yea…time to watch them on a loop before I head out.
Lords of War: Grommash
Yeah, Harbingers is cool. But lords of war is just on another level of epicness.
“This wolf… Still has teeth”.
Just epic.
They both rock. Sheeeeeet, I’m going to watch them all now before I head out to get some hobbit leaf.
I can’t watch the Durotan one.
I was actually thinking about this lately after all the BFA rewatching and really was like… Man this expansions cinematics have yet to tug at my emotions not even once…
Comparison to legion and BFA, the last two expansions especially DF ones are low quality and dull.
People may disagree but I think we need a new “show off” villain that isn’t scared to display a spectacle of power and also has some charisma. Denathrius was almost there but he was made a loot pinata and put into the blizzard time chamber for later.
They already asked me to be the next Big Bad. I told them I wouldn’t do it unless: My personality could be somewhat ‘cowboy’ adjacent. I want to feel like a, as you said, as I am, A charismatic gun slinger, who isn’t afraid to make a spectacle of themselves.
You think I can’t wear an old Elton John get up and kick A. at the same time? You’re wrong!
No I agree. The Jailer was pretty stupid but at least he felt more menacing than the two angry proto-drakes.
I have a feeling TWW is going back to villains with an impact.
The jailor did have some menace but this was contrasted by his “Generic villain personality featuring the recycled box of villainy” and horrible choice of character design.
Xalatath and Iridikron do have some promise.
At first I read “tool” in there! lol and was glad someone said it --whoops, not so. I’m not sure why I have a soft spot for him. Maybe because it all started with a horse.

I agree. How does one think a villain gets followers in the first place without that?
I think Illidan and Arthas are neat characters.
Fite me.
Can’t fite you as I agree. They had depth instead of two dimensional: Wrah! I’m the bad guy.
Well if Dragonflight is any indicator apparently you just spawn in with followers with no lore explanation these days.
IDK I thought this DF cinematic was pretty dope.
Liam Obrien is indeed an excellent voice actor, but so is Matt Mercer. I loved everything about Fyrakk.
I won’t disagree that the quality of the in-game cutscenes have diminished significantly, but I feel like quality is the price we pay for an increased quantity and faster patch cadence.
DF had some really good cinematics, but it also had some pretty rough ones, and I feel it’s being judged solely on the rough ones.
