There are a few differences between ret and dh tho. For example, ret isn’t under perma rocket boots, dh is. Ret isn’t borderline immune to death, dh is. Ret doesn’t have a million pseudo ccs, dh does. Ret has little self healing, dh has decent to substancial sustain.
See how they’re not comparable? This decree rng crap is dumb, I hate it and I’m sure most long time ret players don’t like it either but comparing ret to dh or sp before their nerfs is completely and utterly stupid.
What? DH has some of the worst mitigation in the game, and can be trained into the dirt by any variation of persistent damage.
Ret has a quite literal 100% immunity to damage, coupled with a complete immunity to physical damage. Ret has HOJ, aoe instant blind, and a defensive-offensive shield.
The only thing ret is missing is a permanently maintainable autoattack snare so far as utility goes.
Ret burst is way out of line. If you disagree, you’re playing ret and crutching it up to 1800 before it gets nerfed.
Rets having the capability to global two people at once from 50% hp is just not okay. Anyone defending this is delusional. It’s just straight up toxic gameplay.
Correct. There are other classes that can do this though (well, not 2 people but 1).
Also correct.
And also correct, the problem is that the spec has nothing else, if you take that away while also being the spec with the least reliable cc and the with arguably the lowest survivability and certainly the lowest mobility in the game you might as well termporarily disable it.
As many other rets have stated, nobody wanted this lol.
I mean… They doing it to MM hunter by removing double tap and giving nothing in exchange, so I’m sure they can do it to ret paladins too while you have UH DKs that just remain untouched.
Id rather face a ret than an evoker, warrior, DK or rogue. You pop 1, just 1, little defensive ability and you will survive the ret damage, then they die.
