The Deathlord (me and you) has the ability to raise DK’s.
This would be really stupid.
No we don’t. We borrowed power from Bolvar in Legion.
And that has stopped Blizzard when exactly?
Just saying that would be really stupid.
But, maybe I’m jumping the gun and they’ll explain it closer to release date.
Bolivar imbued us with that ability as his champion and representative of the Ebon Blade. I don’t recall him taking it back.
We also have Archlich Amal’Thazad who is able to raise Death Knights.
I kill two Dwarves in the morning…
I really miss that Troll joke!
We didn’t get to keep that power.
It’s been awhile but I don’t remember him doing that. I remember he was the Frost trainer.
I understand, I’m just saying. When has being stupid stopped Blizzard? I mean, much as I love them we have Draenei Warlocks along with Red Skinned Man’ari on the Alliance. Have Mag’har Warlocks which should be an executable offense for them. Night Elf Mages which for the longest time in their lore all arcane magic was outlawed in favor of Druidism. Lightforged Death Knights and Warlocks.
Now mind you, I can just about fan-theory any lore problem away, still some of it is a bit much.
I’m with Tovi on this one. Dwarves and Draenei are the best Alliance races, and as long as they maintain the mystique and grandeur of the Earthen, I look forward to making one!
I just hope they don’t make them act like regular Dwarves with rocky skin.
Well, there’s a big difference between those races and DKs though.
For one thing, the night elf mages came from Diremaul. There’s an entire story about this so we know where they came from.
Being a warlock is a choice so that doesn’t need explained.
However, DKs have a very specific backstory and atm that backstory can’t be explained.
I don’t care about them.
But their beards are acceptable.
Not really that much. I’d have rather, if they were going to give us another dwarf, it was just the third one we’re missing of the main three clans or the Frostborn.
And also that if we got the Wildhammer instead or the Frostborn that the Horde got Forest trolls or Taunka.
Nah, just don’t get the logic to add this instead of investing in the factions options people have wanted for a long time.
I’m sure I’ll enjoy an Earthen or two.
No clue… Not really feeling anything for em right now.
Disc aint so bad. Its s tier for healers and you have a good kit + the dam you can do as disc.
If you doin rss healing can for sure be aids.
I like 2s but with mmr so borked you run into super sweaty players at low rating so 1800 can be tough in my experience.
I really wish the changed the elite sets to be grindable in some fashion. Pvp has so many time sensitive rewards its stupid when like mythic raid stuff stays available.
But oh well its the world we live in
I’ve played disc priest a little, but mostly in epic BGs. I hate the atonement upkeep, but with a team of 3 I imagine it wouldn’t be too bad. I just hate the lack of mobility for priest in general. I also need to farm conquest on my priest, which has been hard. Guess some poor shmucks will have to have my noobness healing in RSS for those conquest medallions.
Narratively, it doesn’t make sense. Unless you want to say an Earthen DK is one of the Earthen from Northrend and has been roaming around since Wrath? It’s hamfisted, but unless something in TWW story explains it… it’s the only way I can think of it making any sense. I doubt Blizzard will take the time to explain it, though. Most likely they’ll just throw the Earthen to the top of Icecrown like the Pandaren and Allied Races and just try to ignore the lore inconsistency.
Kind of did the same with Goblin and Worgen. They’d probably have the Earthen DK be a group Bolvar just happened upon and decided “Yea, I want these guys in my new DK unit”
The Hero Talents basically forces everyone to play the designated race/class combo, which will be a problem for many players.
An Orc with the Mountain Thane hero class? Hilarious and out of place.
I’ll just pretend I’m a Plate wearing Shaman.
looking forward to playing one on horde
