Now you’re just being ignorant, and I’m no longer going to reply to you. Blizzard really needs to get the block feature back on the forums.
Because people like you will just report people typing that rares are up as well, because you see those messages as spam. It doesn’t matter if it comes from an addon or if we type it.
And I hope others are reporting you for spam when you announce rares are up since you do it to others.
I see, I am being ignorant because I am pointing out you are wrong.
Are you that misinformed not to realize people get in trouble for false reporting. No one is going to get silenced for just typing rare up and helping someone find it.
No one is going to report anyone for doing that.
But since it seems to make you feel better just keep on projecting.
I don’t have rare share addon.
I created a macro to announce rare name, HP and coordinates when needed (not bother if the rare is 13% on arrival or somebody already announced).
I even created a set of macros for Mechagon drillings translated to rares with coordinates. It helps people to get there.
I am surprised to see people silenced being kind to people.
In Nazjatar, most people are not announcing rares now. It is not an MMO zone, its a solo zone, zone of failure. I feel so bad about this place.
People aren’t being silenced for doing this type of thing. There is a person with sense using those macros - it is the addons that are automatic without any consideration of what else has occur that is the problem.
So pressing a macro vs using an addon that presses a macro?
They are literally the same thing, except the macro will go out even if someone else announced it, where as the addons stop multiple people from reporting.
They aren’t the same thing. A person pressing the macro, won’t be announcing a rare when someone just did a second ago. Nor will they be pressing a macro when there has been 2 death announcements to ‘x’ rare.
This is not true. I have several times been near, but not at, a rare’s spawn area, seen one of these announcements and made it in time to join. On ground mounts. And I don’t even have a coordinates addon, so I can only do it for rares that I already know at least approximately where they’re going to be.
It doesn’t always work, especially for Rustfeather, who is both super popular and really annoying to get to without flying. But for most rares you have a decent chance if you’re not on the complete other side of the zone.
I think these are more helpful than run sellers and even most guild recruitment, and neither of those are “spam” either.
