I didn’t mind it being Pelegos, but they should’ve actually made it a sacrifice. He shouldn’t have been the same person after becoming the Arbiter. It really cheapens the whole thing IMO.

they should have made Arthas the new arbiter, instead of this boring character. all expansion we wait to see Arthas and all we got was oh his soul was used up. so now he is gone for good.
Pocopoc should have been the arbiter.

When others correct the “of” to “have”, they’re not trying to control or abuse or insult the other person.
They’re trying to save the other person from looking dumb.

You’re the one who needs to look it up, because it’s absolutely NOT acceptable. If you knew English, you’d absolutely know why it isn’t acceptable.
You should never use could of . It is a mistake by careless writers that results from a misunderstanding of spoken English. Since could have is a verb phrase, and of is preposition, you will always know to use could have as long as you can remember the parts of speech of have and of.
Even the worst dictionary known to man with constantly incorrect information and horrible definitions and explanations says at the end of their article about it:

To control the scourge. who since we all get along horde and alliance could wipe out in 6 months tops. since, in theory, no legion and no sland villians are trying to keep loading them up.

This whole thing was stupid. They made some token character that was only put in as a virtue signal… a being of supreme importance over the universe in this game. Meanwhile Arthas becomes a blue wet fart and fades away? While a character that literally walked his path and should understand his motivations MORE THAN ANYONE droning on saying we should forget him. It doesn’t sound like Sylvanas talking, but it sounds like the writers speaking with her mouth.
They ruined one of my favorite characters to talk trash about another one of my favs. It feels so dirty and unclean. Arthas being able to speak his true words, from his own mouth, with his mind no longer corrupted before becoming the new Arbiter would have been the perfect way to cap off a story that was “20 years in the making”.
Not dragging in some token character who’s whole backstory is something that made some executive feel better about their conscious even though IMO that character breaks its own lore. You aren’t supposed to know your mortal life as a Kyrian. So why are we bragging about how our true forms are so much better in the afterlife again? Uther never got promoted, kept his memories, and became corrupted he had a reason. At least keep your lore consistent.

A lot of us called it out or confirmed it during the PTR .
Most new it was coming . People crying about it now are either trolls or the kind of people that aren’t happy unless they have something to complain about .

if they wanted to “virtue signal” then they would’ve made Kleia the Arbiter, what they were going for was a “zero to hero” type of story, a lowly aspirant who couldnt pass the trials to ascend, becoming more than they ever thought that they would be.

It’s all to serve the Sylvanas redemption storyline. Pelagos going on and on about how everyone deserves redemption is meant to hammer it into our brains that even she deserves it.
Never much cared about him as a character, so this doesn’t hit home with me at all and trying to force me into accepting a redemption for someone I find completely irredeemable is equally insulting.
I thought this had been common knowledge for a fair while now…
