Healers don’t like to play the game unless they are the very center of the entire universe.

So blizzard had to make them the center of the universe.

I would like to see the average BG enjoyer do more then 4 million at the end of a match before they say healers don’t die. Aside from MW right now other healers can be put down with some good old fashioned focus fire because sub 5k dps isn’t going to kill anything

Yup the problem right now is two-fold. We have a ton of low geared people trying out classes in prepatch who don’t know how to play the class and/or are undergeared that they can’t do any dps. Then you have prepatch tuning which is temporarily inflating secondary stats and classes tuned for level 90 and apex talents. Some classes are overtuned right now because of it. Things will settle down and some adjustments will be made with season 1 of Midnight, people are just knee jerk reacting to current state. I die plenty in BGs vs geared and coordinated players, but that’s not the average BGer currently.

Pres is low man on the healing totem pole right now. They die. MW, disc, holy priest, holy pally not so much. Unless they are those guys you mentioned trying new classes with no gear. Resto druid can be very tough to kill. Resto sham has problems.

Unless I’m being useful to my team (BLEGH!) I avoid opening on healers that aren’t dragons or shams.

I play all healers except hpal, when I said I die on my healers it wasn’t just my Evoker lol.

MWers are admittedly a little overtuned for now but will balance out in PvP later because honestly their apex talents kind of sucks as it is super susceptible to getting kicked so they will weaken up a bit in midnight.

Disc is decently good if geared well and understand how to survive but far from unlikable.

Holy priest is a bit of a meme right now, it got nuked really hard prepatch losing half their PvP talents in addition to class pruning.

Hpal in BGs is still pretty much a joke unless you get the odd really skilled player with it.

Rdruids are not great because nothing runs out of mana quite as fast as a resto.

Shamans, lost a ton of their defensives so they took a pretty big hit and you don’t see many good ones currently, generally an easy target to take down.

If healers feel OP right now it’s probably the player playing it mostly, with some overturning on secondary stats (and the fact that most people playing right now are queueing with fresh boosted gear or unsocketed honor gear vs healers who might be in full conquest with sockets and ideal secondary stats.

I got bonked by a Chastise and then nuked by a Sub Rogue in a BfG and it was the most humiliating thing that has happened to me in the past 3 days.

Yesterday I saw a MW and 4 people were attacking him, HP and mana didn’t not go down. It was interesting to observe. Maybe it will change at 90 max lvl.

I am not so sure about that. MW doesn’t go down until you interrupt their casts. That is why MW is difficult for not so experienced PVP players to take down and if you add in CC/mobility MW requires a little bit more technical know how.

But yes if they are with a full health bar you are not taking down a MW at the moment.

If you see that it means bad dps, no one purged him, no one cc-chained him, and none likely had gear or even knew their class decently-those are exactly the players complaining about healers right now.

Ignor the trolls below Bluanglebaby. you are hella correct. healers are currently broken. I play Shaman, holy and disc. and MW. it takes just about the entire team focusing me and using interrupts to kill all of my healer alts. Those who say other wise with current state are just toxic trolls.

I wouldn’t say people are trolling it is more like prepatch is hard to discern when real balance is at level cap with apex talents unlocked for Midnight. A lot of damage is tied up into Apex for DPS classes.

But on a fundamental level the real problem with the new DR changes is that healers are stronger now no doubt. Coordinating a CC chain with 2 DR isn’t realistic anymore even with coordinated teams in arena waiting for dampening to work.

Random battlegrounds (where there is no dampening) is the only form of pvp content where the innate mentality is to mindlessly train healers. It’s not typically done in arena, shuffle, or high rated blitz (where dampening exists and it would be easier to kill a healer). Killing healers DOES happen in those other modes, but usually only happens if the opportunity presents itself (bad positioning, ran out of buttons, no trinket, etc.). Rarely is ‘kill the healer’ the strategy out the gate; and honestly you’re probably going to lose if that’s the game plan.

You guys seriously need to just CC the healers and kill the DPS; it’ll do wonders for your pvp mental health.

I’ve seen a lot of regular BGs where a geared Disc or even Holy have some of the highest KBs, then look at the rest of the team doing 200-300k damage each. This is absolutely a “get gud” situation. Premades have zero issue killing healers, it just takes a couple of people who know how to chain cc.
