Its an overall dps nerf to Fire Mages - Which is fine I guess.
its a PVE Raid nerf because of 2x travel time plus global cd plus double the mana.
Its a PVE solo farming nerf because it wont last long to heal you if you regenerate living flame.
It’s a PVP Nerf because it moves slow and travel time will make it tick 1-2x at most.
The only good that came from the change is that it’s always up every pull for PVE/PVP.
Also, for the people who still don’t understand how it’s a nerf. If you’re max range it takes about 6-7 seconds to reach the target. So you won’t do any dmg. Okay go into melee then, well anyone who has tanked knows that a mage in melee range is a dead mage. At least at range you have that buffer time for you to taunt the boss back before it smacks the clothy with -35 stam.

There’s a ton of scenarios where you can living flame on a melee before using ur blink to get away. Get better is all I can say

You are dead in SoD if you spend multiple GCDs in melee range of every melee class and if you blink into a spriest, boomy, ele, etc you are dead as well. Not sure why you are so delusional.
I know comprehension isn’t a strength of yours, but none of those abilities dictate when you can press living flame

such a bad change, huge nerf to the rune. and the other runes arent good (or fun) at all.
they could have left the duration and cooldown the same, and only nerfed movement speed of it (for pvp counterplay)
they could have made the living flame spawn on the target you use it on.

You guys are just as overly dramatic as Hunters were when they got their tiny melee nerf. You’ll still be top DPS or maybe just under the incredibly broken enh Shaman. Stop crying, ffs. If it’s so bad, then swap to Icy Veins, it’s not gonna hurt you to lose an almost insignificant amount of total damage overall.
I played with it today and honestly it isn’t that bad. yes, you have to get close to put it down now, but we have chances. rogues, warriors charge , shamans running at u. I used to feel like I wasted it on a guy that died to quick really don’t feel that anymore. It’s pretty much ready on every encounter. I hope this helps anyone discouraged about the nerf.
ugh, they got me! I knew if i started a mage - bliz would take notice… how is it, whatever class i play, bliz seems to take notice of a fun meter going off they nerf it to the ground… well ranged hunter is trash and now ranged mage… maybe they will make frost spec a melee mage build now
Blink in every 30 seconds? Not only is that a big mana cost, but you lose time and GCDs.
I’m honestly not sure why living flame was targeted with nerfs. Mages dont seem OP in pve and really weren’t oppressive in pvp either.
To all the mages, you are welcomed to blink into my big d warrior with 2h white crit at 800dmg.
