Mount was just added to the trading post in Retail for next to nothing. When will Wrath players be able to obtain this item, along with other TCG-only items?

Touring Rocket is not part of TCG actually. It’s part of original RAF.
But for TCG specifically:
- Hearthstone
- Flame tabard
- Spectral Tiger to Chinese realms.
- Imp in a Ball
- Goblin Gumbo Kettle
Additionally, they’ve added:
- Olympics tabard + pet
- Festering Emerald Drake, which was an unused model from OG Wrath afaik.
- Nightmaish Emerald Drake - custom mount Exclusive to Classic.
- Kalu’ak Whalebone Glider - custom mount. Exclusive to Classic.
- Avatar of Flame - custom mount. Exclusive to Classic.
Not to mention:
- Sparkle pony wasn’t added, but it should have been by now.
So just because something has or hasn’t happened in OG doesn’t really mean much. Especially when it comes to cosmetics. Sure, rocket is a 2 seater. We are like 6 months away from getting Cataclysm 2 seater. So really, nothing crazy is going to happen if they add TCG mounts in.
You’d know these things if you actually played the game.

Nope. I’ve never played or purchased any cards from TCG, and am unfamiliar with what the items would be, other than the spectral tiger, which is pretty well-known, afaik.

It is outstandingly amazing to always see the same ghastly unpleasant people post such negative, hurtful, and nasty things to others online; for seemingly no reason at all.
Terrible human beings that clearly only wish to argue with other players on the Classic WotLK forums.
Classic WotLK should have exactly what OG WotLK had available to the players. Anything not in Classic WotLK is a disservice to the real Classic Playerbase.

I had the Zevhra mount, I think from RaF in TBC (I could be mistaken, it was quite a while ago. Maybe that was from Wrath?).
Anyway, I’m kind of curious why they don’t have RaF. But, there doesn’t really seem to be any posts asking for it, so…
The Zevhra was available from August 2008 (WotLK launched in Nov 2008) till April 27 2010.
I mean…
Kind of moot when it comes to the mount now that we’re a few months away from cata, but it sure would have been nice to have a 2 person flyer, like we had originally in WotLK. Unfortunately, the devs instead decided to add unclassic stuff to the game, like Titan Rune Dungeons.

Not to mention that I’m simply asking for a way to get these RAF/TCG items akin to the methods of the trading post. Even simply adding them as achievement items to old content would breathe new life into the game. Not sure why anyone would be opposed to Blizzard going all in with TCG/RAF reward obtainability when they reskinned the same drake mount twice within the span of a year
Long time I made a post talking about TCG stuff.
Make them milestone rewards.
- Earn 5,000 Achievement points = Rooster
- Earn 6,000 achievement points = something else
- Earn 9,000 achieement points = something else
and so on and on. And every patch add an item. Or 2-3 items per expansion.
Game dedicated players will earn it.

Zhevhra was RaF round one. It was replaced by the rocket in like patch 3.3.

I dont need to get ach points to be a dedicated player of the game. Maybe they will add the stuff to cata. I just bought the rocket from the trading post this morning and the pink fox cause the wife wanted it.
We really don’t know a lot about what’s in store for Cata in terms of new content, other than the higher levels of Heroic dungeons (already in Wrath) and the improved Auction UI. I remember about a year ago when the Cata Classic survey first came out it mentioned the addition of the Trading Post as well as the scaling up of level 60, 70, and 80 raids to level 85. The mounts could be worked into either of those, the Trading Post obviously with Trader’s Tender (probably not the route I and others would like) and the scaled up raids as “Glory of the X Raider” achievements
Furthermore, they could be worked into the Guild Leveling system that (iirc) was advertised to be “reworked” for Cata Classic (we’ll have to wait till later this month for the beta though)
You recalled a bit wrong. They just mentioned that they are changing a few perks, particularly the gold perk.
Anyways, we will see everything what they have in store in a few weeks.

IMHO another way they could pay for ever-Wrath era realms,
1.) Paid transfers to a ever-Wrath era realm.
2.) Separate store items such as you mentioned; X-53 rocket on the store. Perhaps a discount for prior owners? Or perhaps not. Just offering it could help. Would only apply to that version. (Separate one for Cata or beyond etc.)
3.) Other things they could do to help pay for ever Wrath era.
Then, similarly for Cata “classic” (it’s not but they can market it as they wish).

Dude, at least keep it to the posts that are about WotLK Era, don’t necro threads just to say that you’d like WotLK Era servers you’re working against yourself by doing this.
