On a scale from Blah to Rad I give it two Mehs.
No, it isn’t.
You’d think that, right? Most folks here seem to love the cycle of labeling anything aside from this game to be a “killer”, bash it once it comes out, and then eventually circle back to WoW so they can spend all their time complaining about how bad it is here.
Blizzard: “At least our employees aren’t forced to pee in bottles”
Hmm just watched the trailer for it. Amazons first attempt at an MMO. Lets hope they can stand and deliver. I am interested in hearing more about the lore and game play and things of that nature. We shall see.
The main reason most MMO’s can’t compete is that the combat is just not good. If that video is any indication it’s gonna be short lived. A lack of responsiveness is bad.
Frankly I think they would have had a better fighting chance going with LotR but not like that has been a slam dunk in the past either.
No not disappointed at all, I am going to keep playing wow with a smile on my face until it is no longer an option, I’m going to try the game out just for the launch and stuff, but Azeroth has been my home for a long time and no game will change that.
Strange then when you say “I have given up on anything actually being the “wow killer” at this point” which very much says you seem to want there to be a WoW killer.
Anyways, even if a new mmo takes the reigns as #1, it won’t kill WoW. Look at UO. That has a very small population yet still up and running as is EQ I believe etc.
Yes because everyone always says “this is the one that will be the wow killer” back in the day I used to get nervous and almost defensive when people said that. Allot like you are now actually, and now I’m just like oh brother not again. So if I’m disappointed if anything it’s people who always try to push the narrative that wow is dying.
