Kinda interested to see what you guys think of new world, I have given up on anything actually being the “wow killer” at this point, but it looks interesting to say the least.

There’s multiple threads on this already but I’ll say the same thing in each: if anybody is bemoaning Acti-Blizzard being a soulless, profit-driven corporation and goes to play a game made by Amazon I will point and laugh at them.

From what I’ve seen it looks slightly worse or similar to other MMO’s that have come and gone. But it looks like a less fantastical (boring, to me) version of standard MMO’s. I’m not holding my breath for this one.

isn’t this the game that requires amazon prime to get all the features? thats like 25-30$ a month, it better come with a free giraffe
Haha good point, to me you can’t really get mad at a company wanting to make money. Though if that makes any sense.
Idk, I saw some stream of it, looked fun, but it’s hard to tell if a game will… captivate you.
I liked gw2 for few months, but then got bored of it, could be same result.
You can only grade a game yourself by playing.

just looked it up, it looks like eso reskinned a bit under a hd filter, it better launch with transmog because some of the armors shown look god awful… im being harsh, i’ll probably check it out, but at least on visuals it looks like ffxiv crashed in to eso, and im not down with any of that haha
Visually, the game looks amazing. I’ll probably give it a try 2-3 months after it’s release. I want to observe it and see how it plays out. Don’t wanna buy it and then have to deal with massive grinds. WoW already has that chore covered, thank you very much.

Looks beautiful 10/10,
However combat system , profession system , gameplay, pvp , pve, questing look average to below average and some feel just like a clone of the other.
I will definitely give it a try , but my expectations are not too high

I’ve been enjoying the alpha, but I suspect it will end up like every other MMO that comes out, and will suffer from “no one I know plays it”-itis.
From what I’ve seen it looks incredibly boring and has none of what I’m looking for in a MMO, really.
visually it is a really good looking game. But based on what ive seen from beta gameplay, the combat system is really clunky and lacks depth. Its trying to emulate ESO system with its own twist. I dont know if anything has changed since then

Considering Amazons first two video games have been massive flops, and they have cancelled 5 titles, I’m not holding my breath.
Looks pretty, but so does every new MMO.
Quite frankly the only thing that interests me about MMO’s is the endgame. Single player games will always be more appealing in the story and exploration aspect.
