So much for the prepatch event

Dear lord guys, when I think of the most toxic communities out there I think of Pokemon and WoW, which makes me truly sad and makes me not want to comment but well, here I go, ready to be attacked on all sides. Yep.

Anyway. I think times have changed, the player-base has changed. Some of us veterans might say (well, it will not be as fun as before) but, think it through guys, what about new players?

I have recently realized that this expansion has a lot of focus on new players. This might be a double-edged sword because some aspects that veteran players want are being abandoned, but, that is how the world works. I grew up watching Star Wars, you think I liked the new ones? Heck no. But I am happy to see my cousins buying their first lightsaber toy and watching the first movies and getting more into that.

WoW is the same. I have finally convinced my girlfriend to join WoW and with a crazy event that we had the first week of PTR she left, literally, she only did Exile’s Reach and told me she wasn’t playing.

I know it is hard for some of you, us, but, that is life. That is how the industry works. Be it games or movies. Is it always going to make us happy? No. But, isn’t it nice to see our Azeroth and beyond growing?

Just my opinion.

The immunity could have been given to exile’s reach players without the total destruction of the rest of the event.

It could have been given to those without warmode on as well.

Join the group it’s not fun at all. Obtw ,nice cut and paste I’ve seen that before.

Actually I might.

I still have my lalafell

It was never about PvP.

Wow! A toxic event got nerfed into the ground because people tried Day 1 of PTR and logged off, never to return, because it was just that fun.

Why is anyone in this thread surprised by the event being changed in this way? The exact same thing was going to happen to Live servers.

All hail the lalafell, much better than gnomes. Tied with Asura.

Well don’t be, just have fun with the event. It’s not that terrible as your making it out to be. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Well you might as well learn to enjoy the event, because like you said, it’s temporary.

…you’re literally telling somebody to log off the game if they don’t enjoy this one event in WoW.

For me it was and is.

Keep PvP ghouls in war mode and all is well. I have never changed my stance. If you disagree, go back through my posts.

Yes, I am telling them to log off. It’s a temporary event.

Don’t you get that no matter how hard you try to make things look terrible for people who willingly pay for a game they don’t want to play, the event was objectively a normal thing?

I loved it.

???
It’s the PTR.

People log on, try their characters, play the event, and LEAVE. That’s the POINT

I’m not surprised just that they took the hurt here and Booom ,anything you say for or against whines up being a toxic bomb.

You could just you know suck it up and enjoy the event.

Grats, now you can enjoy it in the proper toggle and sharding.

And Day 1 had a ton of people log off. They wanted to try Exile’s Reach. The new questlines. The rest of the prepatch stuff.

The ghouls made that completely impossible on Day 1. So why are you surprised that they didn’t decide to give it Day 2?

The truth is wasn’t event suppose to be a pvp event ,just a event. Don’t know who came up with the idea to make it pvp.

if they can’t take the heat stay out of the kitchen

this was a fun event that was hard and took team work. rather a bunch of casuals/solos got upset over it and blizz caved to them and now guess what? event sucks.

I’m a casual player and hate that they nerfed the event. But you seem dumb so I’ll chalk it up too that.

I could say the same to you about the revised event. Except I can understand you may not like what I like.

And I specifically said I hated the event the last time. How many times do you do something you hate?
