So marksmanship is losing pets LOL is that a joke?

Mean if having a pet is so needed to play hunter, just play bm, least you have better control over the pet, even survival doesn’t really need a pet, player own damage out beats the pet easily, just like mm, for both survival and mm its just little extra damage and keep stuff off you,

Why an eagle? The more common bird of fantasy, and reality, is a falcon.

See and that’s when I started playing more casters since mana wasn’t as annoying lol.

Yea it would have been cool to see them evolve it. Like instead of scopes or enchants, use ammo to change playstyle and buff you.

I think it’s more so, they have an idea of how they want the class to play and they make concessions for players to give them some freedoms. But then they drop random hammers :joy:

Our classhall was based in highmountain, land of the eagles. Our flightmaster mount was an eagle. Survivals weapon was an eagle spear I believe :joy:

They just threw everything eagle at hunters that xpac.

Fun fact, Benjamin Franklin and many of the fathers had an issue with the eagle as the national icon as, much like lions, it has a rather false reputation for being bold and courageous. Both eagles and male lions are in reality very very cowardly things which pick the weakest targets to bully.

It’s about options rather than what’s needed.

MM obviously doesn’t need a pet, but it also didn’t need to have it removed. Especially since nothing about this rework actually requires that the pet not be there.

ya i get that, they probably will give it back if enough players complain about losing it, but only down side could come at a cost of losing something,

I actually think it’s an intriguing change. Marksman was always unofficially the ranger/sniper spec and this just reinforces it.

I might give it a try myself.

Only issue I see is the eagle pet. In my opinion, it should not even be visible unless you lust and it pops out to screech at you and goes away again after. It should not be constantly flapping by your side.

I mean their logic was that the only thing that makes BM a BM, was the fact they could have exotic pets … which is quite stupid, especially these days now that they’ve got several pet summons.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if Survival got exotic pet tames — might at least make them a bit more intriguing & popular too, lol :joy: 99% of hunters I see are BM, lmao

I’m fine with losing stuff, I play 2hand frost, I use fist weapons on fury, I didn’t care Gladiator was sometimes 2nd rate. Meta players can do their thing and play a math game, I’m busy trying to have fun

Yea it was called Talonclaw, the skill was also called Fury of The Eagle.

Then the animation iirc was basically Fist of Fury from Monk lol.

SV is already basically BM with a stick and you want to make it even more like BM?

To be honest… there’s now TWO things keeping me BM since DF… it used to be just Animal Companion, now it’s that AND Call of the Wild. If I could summon dozens of pets as SV and have two out, I’d absolutely be SV as a melee BM.

Inb4 someone unironically suggest SV should have two pets out at a time.

I mean, MM hasn’t really supposed to have been using a pet since Legion (except to maybe act as the bloodlust in M+, but then you dismiss it again ASAP).

You’re now named Knuckles, legally Knuckles the Echidna.

I would like to go on the record and absolutely full heartedly say NO to this change. If you don’t want a pet, use lone wolf. As a Hunter we have always been able to have pets. Do NOT take this away and insert some lame talent in place of it. The devs are making a HUGE mistake with this decision.
