Oh sorry I totally misread what you said and also thought it was directed at me. I apologize. Point stands though. MM may be more played than survival but it’s not consistently better or even on an equal playing field. Also survival has been really good in a lot of PvP seasons. Marksman never has.
Eeeeh. I can name a handful of xpacs where I was getting 2 tapped by mm hunters in pvp while being fully geared.
And lone wolf has been around since wod. Plenty have used it since.

Agreed! No more stupidly obnoxious hunter pets of all weird shapes and sizes getting in the way of my screen and clicking on stuff! 
Really? That’s not at all what the current logs are saying though.
I have played them both. I can play BM braindead, with the wrong stats and get get much more dps.
It’s a PvP talent.
Do I really need to tell you what that means or can you not figure that out yourself? The data of all the logged kills of fights playing the specs vs your own anecdotal experience on the two specs suggests some user error.

I have played MM for 10 years. I have played with Hekili and ConRo. I know what my rotation is and what I am doing. Pets simply weigh the marksman down.

The main difference is hardly anyone was asking for a melee hunter spec which is why hardly anyone plays it. Whereas a petless ranger spec has been in enough demand for long enough that lone wolf became a thing.
If blizzard doesn’t screw up bad with this eagle, which it looks like they are already headed in the wrong direction, it could be a popular change.
