Ya know, I think it is time to pack it in on my Druid. Balance seems like it is one of the specs that is going to just be left as it is. Maybe they are fine in higher level group play, don’t know. But for the content I run they are f’in terrible, both the survivability of a wet piece of tissue paper and hit like a limp noodle. If I am just going to have to do everything in Guardian spec anyway I’ll just move on to an actually capable class.

Pretty sure the eagle is because Alleria used to have an eagle back when she was a Farstrider. It’s part of her statue in Stormwind.
So MM is getting even more elf stuff on top of having to choose between 2 elf hero talents. They should just rename it to Ranger at this point.

No choice of pet, they all get an eagle now and have perma lust as a skill, no more excuses for having the wrong pet out.
Everyone knows Alleria’s prefered animal companion is a Human, preferably a paladin.

Huh really? They are removing barrage? Why? Why are they going after hunters with these unneeded nerfs?
I’m convinced now retail is just a big clown show that they just toss stupid stuff into the air and see if it works or not. This is a dumb change.

FINALLY. I know this is going to come off as callous but MM has been tethered down by pets for far too long. We are not beast masters. Our damage should only come from our guns and our survival skills should be unparalleled. We’re effectively rangers from pathfinder 1st ed and 3.5. Except we were forced to have a pet who effectively made our class useless by siphoning off damage and survivability roles. I am not even joking. I have been calling for this since BfA. As for removing barrage, as long as I have a sustainable rotation I can do on the move then it’s all good.

You still have a pet that you are reliant on, you just can’t control it and it has to be an eagle.

Less of a pet, more of an ability of you read it. It’s just worked into rotation which removes the problem with MM pets.
I really hope this is a pre April fools joke.

If you use things like Roar of Sacrifice your eagle stops doing things which means utility becomes a DPS loss
well that means 4 less characters to play I guess because I hate BM and I aoe farm on my MM which means I will no longer be able to misdirect to pet.
They are really working hard now to get me to quit.

Bless your heart you don’t get it. It’s a toggleable skill. There will be times to use either form. They aren’t going to catch 22 us where we need both at all times or it would just be a passive.
If they go through with this a lot of hunter players will rage quit and rage cancel sub. This is a very dumb change. They need to rethink this. Cause they need to make this optional not mandatory. I’m a little upset with this if this is real cause it isn’t needed.

Compare/contrast to the way things are now, when using Roar of sacrifice is a dps loss because it requires a pet out, and disables lone wolf?
