I wish they had normalized the data.
Like yeah, it’s cool to see hunters living up to the stereotype and Paladins being awesome like always, but it mostly just indicates that hunters are really popular.

and why are hunters popular? because they are correctly perceived as the easiest class for HC 
so it’s really just shameful, normalized or not.
Eh. Everyone will have an opinion on which class is the easiest for HC. Hunters have been a popular class since the beginning.
We don’t know what % of rolled toons have died by class, just the raw number.

Clearly more detail would be marvelous.
Hunters do have an easier route to 60 but are somewhat handicapped until level 10. More correctly, until they have successfully tamed a pet. I enjoyed the kite, strafe, etc experience but 7-10 things could quickly go wrong.
I suck at classic shaman and would probably finally die in HC if I were to try one, but am assuming the low tally is due to few players rolling one.
Leveling to 10 should be the least of people’s concerns…

Specs and levels. Most pallies I see are ret. I have only encountered 1 other Hpal on my travels. Undead priest is best to do in HC. If more were undead, then the numbers would be much lower.
Mages are rated as being better than the rest, so there are more of them and they don’t become good until level 20.
Surprisingly that underwater breathing (edit: not breathing, but longer time before drowning kicks in) racial would have come in very handy off the coast of Darkshore…

I remember a very old article I read about the undead in WoW… close to two decades ago that I read this. It stated something around the facts that the Forsaken were brought back to mimic life and that is why they breath, but do not breath correctly, they breath with magic and not actual breathing even though you can very clearly see them breathing in game when they are just standing still. That is the spell that they have on them. If you read all the quests and some of the comics, a lot of them think that they are still alive until they were proven otherwise. That is why they can drown in original WoW. But it takes them a super long time to. They think they are breathing but they are not actually.

Not sure about magic for their breathing but when WoW came out (BETA) they didn’t have a breath slider as they were “Undead”. For balance I guess they got renamed “Forsaken” and given 300% increased breath.
Missed opportunity for flavor and RP consistency. Forsaken shouldn’t have to breathe but should also be vulnerable to exorcism and turn undead.

I do wish we had the majority of our 05 version of WoW back for abilities. Not the 04 stuff that really sucked. I said majority, not all. Such as the human racial …lol.
And many of the classes in the first version of WoW had spells that only existed on that race/class combo. It would have been cool if they had kept that into WoW today. Or why do they add a new cool system every expac, but then remove it next expac.
Idk. I wish Covenants were still a thing, same with the artifact weapons, same with the original PvP titles, not the RBG version that we have now. I got R14 in less than 12K HKs in my toon. It is bgs played and won gives more bonus won. not hks. So just spamming back to back ABs will get you R14 super fast.
In HC it is to collect ears. But these streamers have got to be win trading for the ears or something. How do they end up having well over 50 of them when I cannot get even one single person to duel me to the death. Be cool if some random person here could confirm it as well what I am thinking cuz I have had ZERO luck with getting people to except a DTTD on any level. The fact that these streamers have dozens upon dozens of ears when almost everyone out there refuses and DTTD in any way kinda says something is going on.
I will believe these people are getting their ears legit when they duel one of us in it. Any random person here. But until that happens… they win trading ears. Got to be. No other explanation of how every time I try to do it, they always decline it. And to say that these streamers are getting them back to back with zero people turning them down ever… something is up with that. Prove me wrong. Find a random forum poster here who we all would know and recognize ask one of them do a DTTD. They wont though. just keep win trading those ears. Lol. They’ll never do it when they know it is a legit one where they could lose.
Like seriously. Calling those people out right now. Just ask ANY one of us here on the forums for it. As actual proof this is being done legit cuz from what I have seen, they all decline any of my attempts to do so…
I died on my hunter and I am unshamed. It is what it is. You cant always control what happens.

a lot of people will just sacrifice their character to the streamer in exchange for 5 minutes of pseudo fame

I would be willing to bet gold cap that if your toon Eyr was exactly as it is now on that toon in HC, that not a single HC player would ever even come close to doing a DTTD vs you. It does irritate me that I have had no success on doing them. Everyone declines. I would love to pretend to be one of their fans and have crappy gear equipped then do a DTTD and then put on all my good gear and buff up with all the buffs and wreck them. They never go against an equal fight, ever. I would give them one.
I tried to, but when you are swamped your pet can only do so much.
