The Lunar Fest lantern pets have been usable by both factions since the day the holiday was added. Then a bit over a year ago they were suddenly faction locked. No other pets that were available to just one faction but could be traded on the neutral AH have been changed to faction locked. Just these too. And one of them is pet this character always used.
To this day there’s been no change back and no explanation to why you’ve taken our pets away, pets we’ve had for over a decade.
Please, please can you finally give me my pet back?

UPDATE: I don’t have my pet back after all. Tried recreating how I briefly got it back but nothing. This sucks.
UPDATE: I just got my pet back! Thanks, Blizz! Now I’m afraid to unsummon and resummon it in case it’s a weird fluke and I lose it again.
So do GMs still show up in game to fix stuff? Because I had tried summoning the pet when I logged on, nada as usual, and then I was waiting for a Crown Chemical pop and some player cast something on me just before I zoned into the instance. Didn’t have time to see what it was or who cast it, but when I got into the fight I had my pet back. May have just been a player and a total coincidence but it reminded me of a few times GMs showed up in game to help me out way, way, waaaay back in the day.
Anyway, thanks again, Blizz! And it that was a GM, thanks to you too! … Now to unsummon and resummon to see if it works.

OMG. I had my pet back and now I don’t, it’s still broken. This is just cruel.
Right? Seems like it should be a big deal since it shows that at any time they could do this to any of our pets bought on one faction and used on the other. Doesn’t matter how long they’ve been in the game and useable by both factions.
If this was deliberate then they’re testing the waters to faction lock more pets. If it was an accident then it’s a bug that’s been in the game for over a year. Neither are great options.
Even if this isn’t a “bug”, Did Devs mentioned the change? Otherwise, It was working for both factions and then it got faction lock which could be a bug…
Also, there’s something called “Feedback” and if you don’t care about cosmetics because you use the excuse there’s X amount of those, that’s your personal point of view, some players care about specific things.
Yeah, if there’s not any Dev note, it could be a bug…just like in another years when they trigger some holiday events instead of requesting Max Level - 10 (60), they started to request Max level by mistake and Devs have to deploy an hotfix. This game has some bugs and typos.
Maybe someone from the council could help with this…They found a bug regarding Emeral Dream patch, Also, Did you do a thread on the bug forum? Because GD should gain a lot of replies and even with that its difficult to get a CM / Dev reply.
Well, at least there’s some sort of action happening. That at least gives a sliver of hope that it is a bug they are actively trying to fix. Baby steps. It’s just a small indie company. Can’t do too much on the shoestring budget.
