So is this the end of Method?

He’s one of their bigger personalities.

Cdew is also trying to get out of his Method contract, and Cdew is the biggest Method-sponsored name.

I mean, I know cdew, but never heard of jdotb. So I was just curious.

They should of listen to that Frozen song. Sometimes you gotta let it go.

More to follow. Those that stay after the big boys leave just look more and more complicit now.

What an embarassment to be the last few, hanging in there till the end because they view $ > all.

Respect to those ending their associations or leaving early, such as Preach, Corsair, Cdew. The earlier, the more respect in my view.

We’ll all know that those who leave later left a sinking ship rather than doing what’s right. They’ll be forever judged by the community as a result.

Or be sarcastic either. That will get you a nice 48 hr silence. lol

:sparkles:

For sure. Emotions dictate nearly everything these days, it’s crazy. Disagree with someone? Spam report them and silence them.

Indeed that is totes why there’s so many terrible human beings in power, cuz everyone is offensive and only the paragons of being utterly non offensive all the time survive this brutal political world xD

Unicorns should take over the world.

It does feel like Unicorns must be in control considering how many people act as if they are being persecuted for their offensive statements xD

I take offense to that!

Personally I wish no guild/group would reach that level of “fame” within the game’s community.

IMO it’s more fun when there’s not a such a large gap between “the best” and the average. I know it won’t change, but at least to me, the game would seem a bit more interesting if all the top guilds weren’t these professional sponsored players apart of this like “corporate” level of guilds. Again I realize it’s just how things naturally unfold but I hate the fact that some people are wow celebrities.

Been like that for a long time honestly, doubt it will ever change.

From the first wowmovies/youtube “celebs” like swifty, to the first twitch “celebs” like towelliee, to the first sets of WF raiders like Nihilum and Paragon, to now where we have streamed race world first. It’s not going to change, but see, i find it exciting (not this garbage, but things like race to world first)

It was pretty much always like that, and always will be like that.

The only thing that’s changed is the name. We went from names like Nyhm, Swifty, Mute (World of Roguecraft) and Swifty being big, to PvPers like Cdew, Talbadar, Snutz, to world first guilds like Paragon and Ensidium, and now the big names are streamers like Preach, Asmongold and Towliee(sp?) and guilds like Method and Complexity/Limit.

It’s just a natural thing that arises in any community, digital or otherwise, for good or bad someone is going to do something that makes a name for themselves.

Twitch was such a different place back when towelliee and swifty were really “big” hell, they still allowed you to have sub only giveaways.

Some folks keep yapping as if there isn’t a possibility that they receive a summons.

dun dun dunnnnn

Did you not catch the Badger accusations?

People that DID consent, people that he DID ask politely multiple times, STILL tried to get him cancelled out of nowhere. It’s not always so simple as “JuSt LeArN to TaLK tO WoMen InCeLS”

Thankfully, he had proof.

Let’s all hope so. Competitive world firsts and designing the game around it has been an absolute atrocity to the game’s health.

I mean…

  1. competitive world first have been a thing for a long time, but the game isn’t designed around them, only the last few bosses of mythic are

and

  1. even if method dies the next one takes it’s place.

I’m guessing a lot of lesser known Method members will migrate to other guilds.

Yeah and I mentioned that. I’m aware it’s just apart of being members of a community. It’s essentially just idle musing on my part, but i still wish it wasn’t the case so that people wouldn’t be so swayed by the actions or opinions of others.

I feel that way for most famous people but for some reason I especially wish it were the case for gaming communities, even though I know it will never happen.
