So is PvP dead in Wrath?

I wanted to come back for Season 7 but everyone has been saying it’s not worth it on Reddit.

How bad is the PvP scene atm?

I feel personally like this is greatly dependent on who you’re able to find to play with. If you find partners you have a good time with, then you’re going to have a good time.

I was queuing threes last night; only around 1600cr, and we had about 1 minute queue times, if that’s an indication of anything.

Garmuck is whatever you’re playing that bad? I think you said you were playing Hm or something but it must be REALLY bad

No, it’s not dead. If you actually played this game, you’d know.

Its stuff like this why I quit pvp 2 years ago both on classic and retail

it’s dead on NA, but mostly cuz of the boosting by x-mlg players that never get banned cuz of friends in the company.

It’s fine on EU, more population participates in arena on EU, NA has always been pve andy community anyway.

Arena on EU is actually competitive, if you get decent ping from NA to EU, I’d suggest playing on EU for pvp.

BTW to the guy that linked retail player youtube video, the same amount of cheating is also in Dragonflight so when these retail streamers make videos about WOTLK, they are being dishonest, because they want you to play Dragonflight.

Retail arena has the same problems and scripting.

Not dead but most are into pve and half the population took a break until icc

This is actually dishonest. He has a video of a shaman 1 shotting Mitch Jones awhile afk with bot on in DF. In general Botting now is so advanced I think well programmed bots could destroy liquid in RWF and with how Blizzard handles banning cheating doubt anything will happen to em

its pretty dead thanks to blizzard ignoring community requests, botting, scripting, exploiting, boosting, and piloting running rampant

if you dont play anything but hpala/warr gl

I’m still pretty new to arenas, but I know some people saying that this is their last season or last was due to not wanting to have to PVE for BiS PvP gear.

That falls under community requests. We told them the massive difference in PvP to PvE gear ilvls would create a major problem last season, and it did.

If you didn’t do ulduar for HM gear you literally might as well not play as you simply weren’t even remotely competitive. Hpal buddy of mine whose a multi glad quit mid season when he realized his holy shocks were healing 25% less then the opponents thanks to the PvE gear and just logged out to never log back in.

Theres no point in playing if your going to get wrecked by casters and ranged in like 20 seconds

Don’t listen to any of these fools. Probably dont even pvp or arena.

This season is by far the best season to join in - especially arena. Arena is amazing right now seeing as just about anyone (except fury war) can get to 2.2k if you just work at it and have some fun.

The reason this season is especially great to get into is because there is a lower gear discrepancy this season from the starting gear to relentless than last seasons jump from Hateful to Furious.

You can farm your main Deadly pieces and all your Relentless off peices and have a great starting position for your character. Focusing on getting that 1k rating asap will help a ton so you can get your Relentless belt and boots.

There is background MMR growth per day capping at a week. So as long as you just apply yourself you will climb.

This season is by far and large the best season to get started in.

it’s not dead in the sense that queues don’t pop, but the overall arena population is low because of a number of factors, so getting reliable team mates can be tough

it’s dead on NA, but mostly cuz of the boosting by x-mlg players that never get banned cuz of friends in the company.

this does not affect 90% of the arena player base

For low rated players, there is no reason to push past 2200 right now since you can’t afford the wep for 3-4 weeks anyway

And yes wrath arena feels pretty dead compared to tbc. The meta feels more stale and pve gear is more required as mentioned above

Honest review here:

TLDR: No, pvp is not bad in LK. It’s dead in wpvp but it’s still king in instanced pvp like bgs or arenas.

review

  • If you look for wpvp it’s pretty much dead. Unless you play in Grobbulus where you can find people of the oposing faction in Northrend. But for the whole leveling experience you might not fight anyone until prob Outland and Northrend.

  • Bgs and Arenas are fine, they are as good as they’ve always been. No matter the server.

So if you like wpvp a lot → Classic era has tons of it, is insane how much wpvp I’m having even at lvl 36 in remote places like DESOLACE. But this is not lk so yea it’s just an opinion on which wow game has better wpvp.

but if you are more of an Arena guy → Wotlk is just king here.

What? This season is clearly the least participated season yet by just looking at the statistics. When you are in the top 3k players in 3s and 5s at 1k raiting (haven’t pushed those brackets yet) you know it’s going to be a long season.
