So is it Sept 26th or not, since you removed the date lol

Somewhat ironic from a character named kekbot…

Your post is a bit difficult to comprehend. The raid testing started yesterday or last night depending on how you want to look at it. Which was the 21st…

If they dropped the buff around August 2nd which is a Tuesday there would literally be 8 weeks to what we’ll pin as Sept. 27th which is also a Tuesday. However, if they prepatched the data in and did a global launch which is normally say midnight I think those have dropped earlier in the US as they used GMT time or something like that. edit So if it wasn’t obvious that would technically put the launch in the US on a Monday such as the 26th.

So it’s certainly possible and I don’t see why it matters when raid testing started. I mean since the dawn of MMO’s and classic servers when has anything actually been fully tested and released working as intended?

The only real surprise here is that would mean beta would last far longer than I would have expected it to… obviously nobody knows until they announce dates or simply release the “buff” with no forewarning like on retail.

The last time I requested time off, it was granted in about 30 seconds. My manager looks at his big wall calendar, sees no one else has booked the same days, and says, “Sure”

But, the rest of my vacation time is being booked off for the week of Nov 14-18. I can’t wait! Is it WoW related? maybe.

Even if they waited until the start of September for the prepatch, that would be almost a month of the prepatch. It’s not August yet.

Sept 26 a reasonable date

It was no mixup. Just to tease gullible people

Prepatch did not initially and should not last 4 weeks. 2 weeks is the timeframe for “prepatches” and that is plenty of time. If you want a month long prepatch - go to a private server. The majority of players want to get inside wrath and start leveling. There is no need to drag out an event for 4 weeks, especially when it blocks the advancement of character progression until it is over.

If my company’s PTO policy was more cutthroat, I’d have put mine in yesterday too. I think the 26th is a solid bet at this point. I’m waiting for an official release date before I let my boss know I won’t be in that week.

2 months is plenty of time, i would even say its too much time.

i have a friend, that yesterday, said he put in vacation time…

He’s just trolling regarding date format since non-moon-visiting nations use day/month/year but superior moon-visiting countries use month/day/year. Nevermind the fact NASA doesn’t use that date format or imperial measurements, but the nation of tax payers who sent them do.

It will be 6 weeks. Not 8 weeks xp buff will hit aug 10th day after the server mergers.

What a strange name for freedom units.

If there weren’t still so many bugs on the Beta I would agree with If the engine quest helper isn’t even in yet And they literally just started raid and pvp testing yesterday.

Especially concerning what we heard about Winter grasp today They need to implement that as well put quite simply There’s so much to do and it’s extremely hard at this point to think that they’ll have that all done within a month to 2.

I mean I’ll admit I’m not the best speller but still Simply put September 26th is too soon And I don’t want to see a repeat of tbc Where are we only got a 2 week pre patch It’s an extremely fun time And I would like at least a month to enjoy it.

That’s all I meant by that.

It soon tm

Internal builds are many many builds ahead of what we get to mess with.

People put way too much stock in bugs, a lot of things that have gone unfixed likely just aren’t high enough priority.

That’s certainly a fair statement, although in truth when has modern Blizzard held off a release due to known bugs?
Sadly quality assurance seems to be one of their least important goals these days.

True but that doesn’t mean we can’t try to encourage them I’m completely OK if they say OK we have a lot of bugs We need to fix some things so because of that pre patch is going to be longer I would be completely OK if lately ok if we had a 3 months prepatch.

And there was less bugs And This does depend on the player but as long as they communicated that I’m willing to bed most of the player base would be OK with that.

Because as the same go A delayed finish game We’ll have its problems but Is a rushed game is broken forever.

The mergers are unrelated. If you don’t want to lose access to your character during the XP buff, move early.
