Yea, the prepatch likely has to be post merger but the xp buff can be whenever.
Not wrong, but if that is the case they really need to communicate.
Their ability to communicate is sadly even worse than their ability to not rush out an unfinished game lol.
Retail xp buff is a prime example of this.
Blizzardâs corporate overlords wonât allow that because extending the XP buff reduces the opportunity to sell boosts once people get their first toon to 80.
The corporate profits aspect cannot be ignored, and with Blizzard, itâs generally even more important than the situation than other game companies.
They havenât even announced/made available the Deluxe edition for WoTLK Classic yet. I think theyâll announce an official date alongside the Deluxe trailer and open up pre-orders for it. I -hope- it comes soon because it would be nice to have it be official and plan ahead that way.
I -think- we may see more info on August 9th once the server merge happens because thatâs when I feel like they would start prepping for the fresh start servers that will come with the pre-patch. If they do delay it to really late in the year, they risk releasing right alongside Dragonflight, and I donât think they want either version to detract from the other. Releasing them far enough apart would be really beneficial to Blizzard.
