I made the mistake of unlocking “enchantment” spect last. And thus have no ability to gain further skill levels. And to unlock further skill levels I need points in enchanting spec because none of the skills are giving levels anymore. So, I’m stuck in a paradox. -_-. I regularly check the ah but I’ve yet to once see a single DF enchanting recipe on there. It’s only ever old expansions. Been levelling up different renown but those also don’t give any more skill… What gives? Did I softlock myself?

Nope. There are lots of skill points available through quests treasures and rares.
Or are you talking about the basic 100 profession points. If so new recipes are available through certain reps and world drops

Yeah and they no longer give me points.
I’ve yet to see one and they’re never in the entire expansion on the ah.
So is there another way I can level to 100 prof points to unlock the enchant spec?
That’s why I am saying I am soft locked.
I got the rep enchant recipes, and I got all the ones from the trainers. But none of my recipes give me enchanting prof points which I need 100 in order to unlock the final spec which I need to unlock more recipes that would be challenge rating in order to get to 100…
That’s what I mean. It’s a paradox. To get what I need, I need to get what I need. But I can’t do that.
But have you gotten the recipes from renown? Cobalt Assembly has a few, Tuskarr has one I think, and i haven’t looked into the others very closely. I know there are some for renown like 16+ with the major factions.
They all seem to be 10 or 11. And I got all of those.
Also the cobalt ones too.
Why are you so worried about getting to 100?
Specializations.

Still annoying a good chunk of the recipes you can buy for tailoring use the azure / chronos whatever cloth that I can’t make lol

So I can unlock the final spec and actually make higher grade stuff.
Guess blizzard didn’t realize that if you choose the specs in the wrong order. You get softlocked.

youre not soft locked you can get the primal illusions.
How do I go about doing that?

You have to grind, well not really but just find items that give you more points. It is fairly simple.
edit: Plus there are always the weekly quests.
As I’ve said before. I’ve yet to ever see a DF enchanting recipe on the AH or from a world drop. The entire expansion. And I’ve been playing quite a bit. I’ve done A LOT of primal storms and never seen anything like that.
So I’m softlocked until RNG decides to bless me I guess.
No you are not. There are drops that give you points, no big deal.

Still easy to do. Granted there are people who knew a lot more about professions and knew what to level up and what reps to get, where to farm etc before launch. They are the ones making lots of gold right now. It will take other players a long time to catchup.
O and knowledge=higher prof skills.
if you didn’t unlock the enchantment tree yet, and you’ve spent points, you’re probably not gonna be able to make rank three anything for the good enchantments.
yes but more knowledge does not unlock the 4th tree.
