But why? Vuhdo is just a grid, so please leave it be. Leave heals be… Healing is a chore already. Please don’t make us do more work. I don’t wanna make macros for my many healing abilities.
I wish I have you guys’ confidence after seeing the CD Manager. GL to all of us.
What tripe? Do you even use grid addons like Vuhdo and Cell? The CD Manager Blizz provided is awful, so it’s quite unlikely that they have the resource to rebuild such a grid.
Yes the billions of dollar studio owned by one of the biggest corporations in the world who built the framework the addon developers have to work within and whose APIs and functions they have to use to make their addons work DEFINITELY doesn’t have the resources to buld “such a grid”. I can see absolutely no fault in that logic.
Your beloved billions of dollar studio owned by one of the biggest corporations in the world who built the framework the addon developers have to work within and whose APIs and functions they have to use to make their addons work DEFINITELY has already made a Trash CD Manager.
I see you’re not here to offer useful opinions. Please don’t reply.
You’re not the boss of me. Don’t post dumb discussion topics if you can’t handle the notion that people might disagree with you.
I didn’t argue that their product was great. I argue against your obviously well thought out and flawless logic take that they clearly lack the resources of an addon maker.
And if you bothered to do any actual research on the addon changes and what you “fear”, you would’ve found that what Blizzard is aiming to target is primarily combat addons that aim to trivialize encounters by divining and solving mechanics with no real effort on the player part of things besides simply doing what the addon tells them to do…basically a lot of things people use cheap auras for (though obviously not everything)
If the overall response to the Cooldown Manager and Blizzy eventually taking the reins over addons, people don’t really have that much faith in their decisions or options!
Only thing that would change if they nuke all the addons is I wouldn’t heal anymore. And it sounds like I’m not the only of this mindset.
Excellent work, discouraging people from playing one of the least popular roles in the game.
At this point we really can’t know how deep they are planning on going with this. I would describe the plan as it has been described to us as “tenuous”. I think this is a great time for healers to be concerned about the future state of healing addons. If Ion thinks that healing addons trivialize healing by making it easier than God intended healing to be, then healing addons will be gone.
