42" should be preferably used 3.5 feet away, give or take 6" depending on your vision. More is too far and less is too close. For optimal PPD and FOV. A ~30" depth desks make this very easy and is a quite common measurement for desks these days.
LOL yeah, I connected my pc to my 48" tv to play WoW once.
I didn’t think it was possible but yeah, too big.
My 26" Acer Predator 144hz is about perfect, I think.
i cant hold a measly 165fps in a populated valdrakken or worldboss so im not gonna go for 245hz i’d feel like i got bad value.
1440p 165hz 27 inches is my sweetspot right now.
any faster and i lose value…
any bigger and i have to move my eyes around all the time…
shrug
Its what works for me in my space, besides I plan to stop playing wow in a few months.
That dude is winning!
Give him a /highfive from me.
I tried a 32 curved screen, i liked the difference between it and my 27inch, but it had color issues so i returned it.
Honestly I could have gotten used to it(the curve), but when i upgrade again, i will likely get a flat 32.
I played wow on one of those 49" Samsung Odyssey monitors and it was a horrible experience, wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Something that is unnoticeable by the human eye.
i did the lazyboy gaming for a while. it sounds great but there was a lot of tossing the wooden board aside everytime i wanted to stand up. not gonna put my keyboard on my lap that’s heresy.
i read somewhere that some jet fighter pilots notice up to 255fps. i remember because i thought to myself: “wow the human eye works on 8 bits what a shame”
there are monitors up to 1000hz out there apparently… what a waste.
Everyone has a preference and you do get used to it. When I went from a 12 inch to 32 it was a solid month before I could play dota properly again.
