So hypothetically, if any DF race factions became playable

Do you think they’d go Horde or alliance (if they didn’t go neutral)?

Personally? I feel like a lot of these races veer towards the alliance.

Furbolg have a connection with nelves and druidism already.

Maruuk centaur would go alliance I feel due to Baine’s bad experiences with centaur as a child.

Tuscar could be a horde curve ball (nomadic, shamanistic) but for some reason I feel like they’d fit in more as an alliance race due to their connections on borean tundra.

If any race could be playable as horde, the only one I’m seeing is gnolls-- but they’re not even a faction as of yet.

What do y’all think?

Furbolg vibe 100% Horde.

Maruuk Centaur don’t fit with either.

Tuscar do lean towards the Alliance.

How do you think Tortollan will side if they ever become playable?

They give me panda vibes so I feel they’d be another neutral race.

Do the Niffen and Drogbar count?

They’re in the next patch so I don’t see why not. I presume they’d go horde since technically already in it.

With the Alliance and Horde conflict in a ceasefire/peace treaty and it not shown on the Dragon Isles (in the lore, War Mode is not canonical to this story), I would assume any races from Dragonflight to be Neutral (although Blizzard removed that distinction with the Shadowlands pre-patch, so they will just be available to both factions).

I think if theyre trying to end this lame joke of a ‘war’ making any new race faction specific is a moronic decision.

I mean you seem to be super reaching for some of these.

For starters, Baine wouldn’t flat out reject centaur out of spite. He’s always shown to be level headed. He still worked with Garrosh even though Garrosh killed his father nor did he go after a Magatha (SP) for her trickery in that duel. The centaur embody much of the Horde sentiments. I also question whether the Tuskarr would also default be Horde. Just because they practice some variant of shamanism and ultra worship/revere their elders doesn’t mean the Alliance is just out of the question on that front. Same reason I wouldn’t defacto give Alliance furblogs (though I would if it w as the Ashenvale ones).

If anything, Furblogs being a vicious and “outcast” race fits in far more with Horde ideology of being a band of misfits.

I don’t see any DF faction though joining either side…especially since we didn’t get the SL races who have much more canonical reasons to have joined us (including all 4 having body type 1 and 2 variants complete with melee and casting animations and a diverse range of class choices).

They’re not going to attempt to retrofit gear onto four legged races, for those pulling for centaurs. Tuskarr is a when, not if and I’d imagine they will be dual faction.

I used to think this until dracthyr and mechagnomes just made gear invisible. So I don’t think centaur or naga are unlikely anymore if they chose to make them.

Yeah I agree with you. They could fit really well with either side.

Tuskarr would be neutral and be playable by both factions

Also be neutral and playable by both factions

The only DF race that matters is the drakonid and they can go to either

They seem like they would be neutral considering that Alex is.

ugly + ratio + no thanks + they tried dragons once and f* it up

If they continue breaking down the faction barriers gameplay wise I think any could go the Panda choose a side route.

I don’t think they will since I think they want to keep factions for cultural/political flavor rather than gameplay mechanics.

This can be the dragon boi tank we should have got the first time around instead of the dragon/salamander things nobody wanted lol

You don’t play a dragon to be a runway model. :stuck_out_tongue:

I wanted evokers. They can fly, which is cool. I also want drakonid.

I want more things in general.
