So, High Elves returned to Silvermoon, uh?

It’s ok. It just came out.

Well, I very much doubt the Void will ever be defeated, these cosmological forces seem to be needed to maintain the balance in the universe, otherwise the Titans would have chosen that one reality where Order and Life won as the true timeline, and I also doubt the “uniting the elven tribes” randomly excludes void elves. It’s very likely that Silvermoon is becoming a neutral city, it would make no sense whatsoever to make the guards hostile to just void elves.

People: We want High Elves.

Blizzard: Ok, we’re changing Blood Elves to High Elves.

Monkey paw wish granted.

Yeah, I see where you are coming from, but there is no reason for a fifth elf race especially a third exact duplicate of the same race.

The void elves have high elf customizations, like 90% high elf and 10% void.

The story is set up for it. They called it the reunification of the elves. They aren’t gonna just make void elves unplayable. They are goin neutral

And he is not a High Elf.

He’s a Half Elf.

It’s Alliance players that typically want High Elves. Blood Elves are already High Elves. We were just renamed to honor the fallen.

I don’t want this. I just want to retain my characters race renaming, lol.

The story is setting up for reuniting the Elf kind in Quel’Thalas, not to make one race only (would implicate character changes) or make them neutral. What I suspect is at the end of Midnight all elves (Blood Elves and Void elves) will be able to live in Silvermoon and regardless of which you select you’ll have Silvermoon as their capital, and it will be a neutral city like Bel’ameth.

Not making blood elves or a “new race” neutral.

Oooo I like that name for them, helves, Imma just use that from now on.

And he will be the first Void Elf Paladin.

All the other High Elves are also living there.
Arathor is politically affiliated with the alliance, not with the horde, which proves that the Elves returned to Silvermoon.

If they would make it neutral it means the Horde loses a capitol. I think that there will be NPC representation. I doubt it’ll become the home for all elves. Nelves and Nightborne have their home. They are doing some updates to Telogrus Rift. Keep in mind Belameth is not a capitol nor will it become the Nelf starting city. They are still gonna rebuild Teldrassil.

Well I’m very doubtful that they’re going to turn the Blood elf capital into a neutral zone, they’re fully aware of how delicate the High elf blood elf situation is, and giving the Blood elf capital to the Alliance would surely raise the ire of the largest population of players in the game. Otherwise they’re gonna end up needing to make all the capitals neutral.

The short-story seems to be implying that light-oriented elves have returned to Silvermoon, to both defend it and protect the Sunwell, where I imagine the Void elves will likely be undertaking their own journey into the Void. High elves interested in partaking in the Void join the Void elves in the rift, and High elves pertaining to the light join the Blood elves at the Sunwell.

I am not arguing this. That there are high elves returning to Quel’thalas was pretty obvious, not sure why anyone would counter that.

I was correcting the OP about Arator being a high elf.

a while ago i’d really like that option but when i played tbcc i really grown attached to my belf paladin and a bit of lore of belves. even when i jumped on retail and made the blue eyes and made her “high elf” on my belf, i just couldnt do it lol. i came in as a blood elf and i’ma proud one with green eyes and long ears lol.

that and we are the superior elves who aint ashamed like some others.

Eh this is only proving that what Lor’themar let happen years ago is still happening. This isn’t a change. Arator likely lives there because he’s being trained as a Knight by Lady Liadrin.

If there was any doubt that the wars are over, the current leader of the Alliance is just wandering over to Silvermoon and free to roam.

She wasn’t free to roam. She was watched by Lor’themar’s guards and told to leave by sundown.
