I am not disputing any of this. But your just taking the apathetic “why care” approach that blizzard would love the entire player base to adopt. I am not doing that. Nor should you.
That’s not why human GMs are nigh non-existent anymore. Those events were very rare and tended to only happen in exceptional circumstances, such as a server being taken down for a very extended maintenance period, and players generally reacted positively, enjoying the fun randomness. Even after they stopped doing that there were still plenty of fun human GMs.
No, you don’t get them anymore because it is vastly cheaper to use automated processes now, and only use human contact when required. And also, most GMs wouldn’t even want to get involved in the WoW community anymore anyway.
Human GMs doing random fun things in this game would be boon / blessing. Maybe they could voice the bosses they spawn, call out players while killing them…so much untapped potential there…
You’ve got to choose your battles in life, and this one definitely isn’t mine. All the best to those fighting against the bots. I still don’t like them, but I have different battles to fight.
Its not mine either. I am not delusional. This is blizzards job, I am just trying to get them to do there part…
Botting is never going to go away, even if you go hard on em, they will still be there constantly spinning up accounts every time they get banned and improve on their software to avoid detection. Its a cat and mouse game and most of the time, the mouse will always win.
You might aswell tell Blizzard to go after gold buyers, because gold buyers basically enable the botting that happens here and despite that we have the WoW token in retail and in Wrath classic, gold sellers offer more gold then what the WoW token will provide and cheaper then the WoW token. The punishment for buying gold is such a joke, like its a 2 week suspension at most, it should be 6 months or permanent and take away the amount of gold that was bought.
While all this is true, its still not a excuse to stop banning them for long periods of time. When you have literal armys of bots in every version of wow, its just to much…
Thats fine with me.
This is true. I remember some hardcore streamer got caught buying gold, and they didnt even suspend him…
not sure why you used the /s
perhaps you missed the part where i was attempting to find out where they’re meant to be, so i COULD see them.
that sounds a tad paranoid.
…or maybe you don’t know what gaslighting is.
I’m literally telling you I want to help report them if you’re claiming they’re so prolific in the zone.
i can’t do that if i can’t find them.
pirate servers.
there are no “private servers”.
…but well done on outing yourself.
if you’re capable of detecting and breaking the cheating software, i think blizz are hiring.
Here’s the problem.
You guys keep buying bots from the same people that run the gold farms.
So you payin them 2x.
1 when you buy the gold from them
2 when you buy the rotation bots and “hands free” player bots from them
If we are to ever see the end of the bots everyone gonna have to stop giving them money
Simple as that
I just saw a bunch of dragonriding bots in ZC farming herbs. Normal players can’t even pick any because they disappear.
Sarcasm sir…
Bro like I said they farming spores. Spores are herbs and ore. Like I said you gotta be putting your head pretty deep in the sand not to see them.
O man you caught me. Good job detective bully. Amazing work. O yeah /s
Well this bully guy just cant see them for some unforeseen reason. I dont know how to educate him on seeing the obvious. Perhaps you can help him?
Bots pay sub fees.
I am aware of this fact. Does not make it right however. Greed should not overtake the integrity of the game. I know I know…just how unrealistic that statement is these days…But one can dream and hope…
Then why did you ask?
I never said it does. I feel like bots ruin the integrity of the game.
Fairly informative video about gold bot culture and what blizzard may or may not be doing about it.
I know your trolling but why ask why.
I agree sir…
theres no shortage of temporary silences and bans going out on these forums at a moments notice, why not in-game against bots.
/fortheplayers!
Thats a damn good point. To me bots are way more destructive than little jimmy troll…
I’ll pass. I can’t do anything about it, so it’s pointless for me to watch it. Thank you for sharing it though.
You know my trolling?
I think you’re trolling.
