If that were the case, they wouldn’t have made it where you needed to sub after a certain amount of time to buy a token off of the auction house. That was specifically to combat bots and gold sellers. And it did indeed dent it.

I still think it’s all a front. I know it sounds rude and condescending and it’s not meant to, but most people are naive. If you toss them a couple bones, make them think they’re fixing or doing something, you’ll keep them quiet.

This amount of bots is currently in zaralek caves EVERY SINGLE DAY FARMING ALL DAY LONG. I am not exaggerating. Literally, tons and tons of bots just botting away with impunity every single day without issue. Must be nice for them. Ruining economys. Making it hard for the average player to make gold b/c they drop the price in everything drastically.

I make gold selling boosts, so any mats I do find and sell is just free bonus gold.

I’m thinking tech in general has given up the fight… I can’t tell you the number of bots a day I’m blocking on all the various social media sites I belong to… It gets worse every day. They do strange stuff too, like ‘like’ a post… and you can tell they’re bots from their profile.
In the game they’re rampant. All over the place. I’ve given up reporting them. I used to report everything I saw for years, but it just doesn’t seem to put a dent into it. Blizzard needs to up their game.
Now that Microsoft has bought them, maybe they can put something in their operating system to detect who is botting in World of Warcraft. I would think that wouldn’t be against the rules.

Like I said this is about effort. Trying to make a difference. No the problem will never be completely solved. I get that.
What I am asking for is effort to enforce there own rules in a timely fashion. Thats it. Effort.

I’m not defending botting, I just don’t care that much about it as much as a lot of people seem to. Bots are never going to go away, they have existed since I started playing well over a decade and a half ago, and they will exist in another decade and a half.
