So has it really come to this crap?

When did this game become so elitist that i have to change my spec just to get anywhere? its complete bs. Its kinda stupid to make people conform just do anything in groups.

I mean, did you join 2 years ago? Because this is how WOW has been for the vast majority of its history. It’s so baked into the pie that there was even a dev catch phrase at one point when they attempted to change this design philosophy (take the PLAYER, not the class).

Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not DEFENDING this practice then or now. And this expac has seen numerous specs in frankly a disastrous, embarrassing state of affairs. But it should surprise exactly no one. Same as it ever was…

Balance changes come and go, you should just do what you want an ingore those nerds

Yeah…where you been since all of wow? Its always been like this? Every single mmo with group content is like this. To say otherwise is denial of reality.

When Molten Core was introduced… maybe sooner.

Be a Warrior , no spec would matter

Sometimes around 2 months into Vanilla WoW i’d say.

People like FOTM specs.
For example if I invite a druid or shaman in m+, and they turn out to be melee, disappointment.
This season is era of ranged, possibly whole expansion.

Try playing a warrior or rogue, you’ll see pain. Hunters are easier to find grps with.

Want to add any context to this or?

Welcome to Whose warrior is it anyways!!! Where everything is made up and your spec doesn’t matter!

I’ve been kicked several times as soon as they see I’m BM. I’ve been thinking of trying to change spec from MM to BM while the countdown is active so they really can’t kick me.

Not sure if you can change spec once key starts.

But yeah I think BM is one of bottom dps right now, with next to 0 aoe, so people obviously want an MM.

You can stick to it, but I wouldn’t. It’s like seeing assa rogue in arena being stubborn and losing constantly because they won’t play sub.

Fury needs help (and if history repeats itself its going to get it through sheer scaling) but both Prot and Arms are perfectly playable.

Arms suck on pure single target but it really shines on 2 target cleave fights and do ok on fights with adds. Its called having a niche.

As far as Prot Warrior goes my Guild’s MT (we’re doing Mythic) is one and isn’t really struggling or anything.

I do more dps as BM then MM though. Because I’m stuck to low keys its not a problem and I have been top dps in all but two dungeons.

Its just community perception.

BM is pretty good in M+, specially in higher keys where sustained AoE is valuable. But people who pug 10-12s right now are pretty much fried meta-slaves.

BM does run into issues in raiding due to its single target damage tho but if you’re willing to be the mechanics-slave (seeds on Xymoz, containers on Darkvein etc) its justfiable to have one since you don’t really lose dps from doing these unlike Marks.

I disagree. Sure, maybe some people like FOTM, but some people don’t. Honestly, I think all classes and specs should have their strengths and weaknesses and should all be BALANCED, having about the same effectiveness. Why have lots of options if most of them are impotent?

Idk I’m tanking +10 to +13 this week, and we never take things like BM, warriordps, rogue… Mostly boomkin, mage, warlock, maybe ret pala.

I took a warrior 2 dungeons this week, they did less damage than me, the tank, due to constantly running from shades. That’s not bueno. On top of not bringing any aoe cc for shades.

Shame since Hunters counter spiteful super easily with Binding and even Tar Trap lol.

You can thank Blizzard and Esports for this, instead of fun they promoted M+ for profit and now everybody thinks they are a world class champion M+ player
