It is explicitly confirmed that Beledar is not the tip of the sword. In addition to geography, a few characters do some quick math and realize that the Arathi had been in Hallowfall for a while when that event happened.

No no, it’s a Naaru inside. The alternating light and dark is a lore accurate depiction of their life cycle. Xal’atath just performed the ol’ girthysucc on Dalaran. Imagine if she could slobber up whatever is inside of Beledar.

I’ve been assuming its the thing mentioned briefly when Alleria sees the Light from the perspective of the void in A Thousand Years of War:
She saw war. She saw the forces of the Light striking back against the Void. She saw darkened worlds burning in holy fire. She saw millions of creatures encased in luminous crystals the size of mountains, sustained by the Light and unable to die. Warriors of the Light were monsters, corrupting and consuming everything they touched.

It’s not the sword. The arathi were in hallowfall for years before the events of legion. But Sargeras stabbing the world does coincide with the first time Beledar went dark.

It will likely be pretty traumatic for the Arathi to find out the false sun they’ve been worshipping as a god is actually just Naaru cell-block D with the WoW equivalent of dragon Harvey Weinstein inside.
