So has it been confirmed that the huge crystal in Hallowfall is the tip of a sword?

In the campaign isn’t it literally confirmed by both Anduin & Alleria that after hearing the story of the Arathi from Faerin Lothar that it didn’t appear until “When we defeated the Legion”.

Same, but i was simply stating depending on timezone “Yesterday” is still correct.

I mean they know it’s not a sun. And I imagine they’d be pretty stoked to learn about and meet the naaru. I guess their disappointment will depend on who or what is imprisoned inside. Maybe it’s a naaru who went bad. Maybe one of them who scorched revendreth but wasn’t sanctioned to do so.

No, that’s when Beledar first turned dark. The Hallowfall cavern shook violently and the “star” shifted for the first time. This caused panic, because the Arathi expedition had already been in Hallowfall for several years, and Beledar had always been bright up until that moment.

I don’t understand how the tip of Sargeras’ sword would have anything to do with either the void or the light. He had no love for either. It’s also way too far down into azeroth’s crust.

More than likely, Beladar is Azeroth’s heart… or some vital organ. hence why the void is attempting to corrupt it, And why Sargeras aimed for it (bc he was terrified of a void-titan).

It is not the sword but did react to the sword.

I haven’t seen this. I did see that it appeared well before the sword hit, but that doesn’t rule it out as firmly as some might think.

a titan being terrified of a new born titan? i don’t get it, isn’t Sargeras like Eons old?

No, Azeroth’s heart is in my ““Gigantique” Bag”, safely locked away in my bank.

Sargeras inital breakdown that lead to his conquest of the cosmos, and betrayel of the pantheon, was brought on by the revelation of what would happen if the Void was successful in it’s attempts to corrupt a world soul through the old gods.

Sargeras, in an attempt to prevent that horrific reality, came to the conclusion that the safest way to deny the void it’s prize, was to kill literally everything. It was an outcome terrifying enough to drive a titan insane. so… pretty bad im guessing.

note: also, Azeroth is supposedly destined to be the most powerful titan ever born. more powerful than the old pantheon… which is also why the void wants her so bad.

My bank was in Dalaran, so…
yeah.

The Jailer had planned and orchestrated all of this so that when the Legion invaded Azeroth eventually, he could take the worldsoul afterwards. Don’t forget that.

orrrrrr… what if Beladar is like… an egg/cocoon with Azeroth inside?.. tbh that would sort of solve the issue of a planet exploding when a titan is born. Maybe they assume their massive size later?

But then again, if that were the case, why couldn’t the old titans just shrink themslves down to suitable sizes to battle the black empire way back when. meh idk

Beladar was apparently affected by Sargeras stabbing the planet, but it was just kinda…there for the longest time before that. When Sargeras did his thing, that’s when it started phasing between light and dark, which is certainly interesting. A lot Arathi died that day according to Faerin. No one expected their peaceful “star” to start killing people.

Out of narrative, it was also clearly and explicitly said to not be the sword by WoW devs at BlizzCon last year after the expansion was announced. Here’s once such interview: https://www.wowhead.com/news/wowheads-exclusive-blizzcon-2023-interview-with-anne-stickney-and-tina-wang-335929

The devs have been vague when discussing what the crystal is, except to specifically say that it’s not the sword. We now have in game discussion between characters confirming that it’s been in Hallowfall since before the events of Legion. It’s not the sword.

So how could ANYTHING be worse than EVERYTHING being dead. That makes zero sense. Even if the void enslaved the entire multiverse, that would still not be as bad as all life not existing.

That very much depends on ones perspective. There are worse things than death. Apparently according to Sargeras, the void is one of those things.

There are also beings called the “Void Lords” that were the creators of the old gods. They initially created them bc the void lords themselves didnt have the ability to exist outside of their own cosmological dimension. and so they forged an innumerable amount of servants that could exist in our reality, and sent them hurtling into the cosmos in every direction, in hopes that some of them would land on a nascent titan.

Yeah, like never being able to die. Even when the body and everything else in the universe is destroyed, imagine existing without existence. It would very much be like just drifting, forever.

We should smash it.

Azeroth’s physical heart or more likely, her cocoon containing the worldsoul.
