I’ve been of the opinion that there should be a new faction COLD War.
I get the impression that very few players want the factions all chummy like they have been but most people also realize that a new faction war will lead to one or both(probably both) factions getting screwed over in the long run, again.
A vanilla style simmering cold war is the best way to do it. Of course, they’ll have to introduce a wider cast to make that happen since most faction leaders now are either friendly with the opposite faction or at least pragmatic enough to not want conflict.
Sure, there’s justification for attacking it. But they had to go overboard and do the mana bomb thing, and then hire Christie Golden to write an entire novel about how awful that was.
Pineapple on pizza is never a mistake! + =
I like the concept but I don’t trust blizzard to not botch the execution and eventually give us a BFA 2: Electric Bogaloo.
I don’t want to be killing Alliance just to see which side the body falls towards, but I don’t wanna be chum with them either.
Just let me quest with the Desolate Council, god dang it.
Burn it! Burn it with fire! Purge the heretical pineapple!
Yeah Zuleika makes a good po-
GET OUT.
: waves pineapple pride flag :
Hey, if you don’t want it, that just leaves more for me!
Your kind (pineapple on pizza apologists) are the very reason we have this sin staining our world and why God decided we are unworthy as a specie.
You liked my posts, I liked your posts…
I trusted you…
How could this be?
The new Chronicles sort of paints the purge the light that it was for the most part ‘justified’ and ultimately watered it down to the Horde as being overdramatic, which I hate.
So I doubt they’re going to “confront” the purge as a past mistake – or at best, if they do — It’d be brushed off as a minor whoopsie or vaguely hinted in a trivial mention & then shrugged off as something inconveniently minor moving forward
“I can’t believe we were naive enough to let all those marauding bands of Sunreaver Wretched into Dalaran for so long. Thank you for protecting all the citizens from their magic hungry rampage, Jaina, and releasing them from their torment to ease their souls as you did no wrong especially to Aethas and you’re totally a better Archmage and person than me.”
Yeah that’s pretty much how they’re playing it, lol
Heck @ the Trading Post — You have Aethas looking for an artifact to give Jaina as a gift and dialog for HIM wanting to apologise to HER.
"Dearest Jaina,
I’m down bad like every other elf and dragon that steps foot in Dalaran. I’m sorry my idiot compatriots and countrymen interrupted your practicing of Frostbolt and Blizzard with their pathetic bodies and littered your streets with their frozen husks, and Dalaran was definitely still ruled by a Council and you’re not a dictator.
Yours forever and definitely not pathetically,
Aethas Proudmoore? Sunreaver
P.S. you left my other 78 nethermails on Read, but no worries, I’m sure you were busy, ANSWER ME!"
I’m honestly sick of the Horde being frequently portrayed as the villains without much room to actually surprisingly be the victims / wrongly done-by or heroes in the story.
Also sick of the Horde being consistent apologists to the Alliance without much room compromise, no matter what was done to them in return
Gotta say I was genuinely surprised they portrayed Talanji as still being cheesed off as heck @ Jaina & the Alliance at the end of the war, lol
I hope it’s time to put the Kirin Tor on the shelf and let races. Spread out the centers of arcane learning to different different races and not just keep it centralized in a human nation.
Let Suramar and Silvermoon be prominent mage cities like they should be. Have Stormwind and Undercity carry on the Dalaran traditions. Let the new draenei capital be Azeroth’s primary arcane tech/artificer place. Let them be different and have conflicting opinions on how things work and how to solve problems.
Mage lore has for so long be far too centralized in Dalaran.
Honestly it will prob just be dalaran being rebuilt with the exact same established government with zero self reflection or change
It’s a nice idea, but Blizzard has a terrible track record when it comes to making diverse organizations that all do basically the same thing. At best, the alternates get ignored (see: Sunwalkers), and at worst, the Horde version winds up being vaguely evil because the Alliance version already sucked up all the positive themes surrounding what they do (see: Reliquary).
Best way to fix that is to have the different groups focus on different aspects of arcane magic.
Blood elves clearly specialize in fire magic, but also in blood magic with their blood golems.
Nightborne specialize in time and teleportation magic.
Draenei specialize in artificers and arcane technology.
Humans have traditionally specialized in frost.
Don’t make them all do the same thing. Have them specialized. Those races are already specialized in those areas, Blizzard just needs to focus on it more and show the differences.
Considering its about the FUTURE of the Kirin Tor i suspect it means they are planning to have the Kirin rebuilt.
Like a possibility is it becomes a neutral organization that teach any every nation and decides to make satellite academies thoughout Azeroth. That would be a nice way to end things with them.
More Kirin Tor dominance doesn’t seem like a nice way to end things to me.
