So engineers kinda get screwed this xpac, hey?

Every other crafting profession gets to participate in the legendary economy, and we get… a few gadgets? Inscription can craft ilevel 200 trinkets and we get… ilevel 165 goggles? Ever since goggles have been introduced, we’ve been able to craft goggles that were equivalent to raid helms, but not this time?

I’ve collected almost every recipe to date, and I have no interest in losing my Jeeves, Loot-a-rang, or MOLL-E, but it kinda sucks that we get one (1) useful item this go around: the teleporter.

As a scribe, good luck crafting a trinket without buying most of the crap off the AH. The trinkets are not cost effective to make. I make way more money off contracts and missives at the moment.

Shh. I am happy to put glider back on my Cape. Dont need more negative attention towards engineering…

Although, yeah. Main reasons why I haven’t focused on leveling it in SL. Nothing worthwhile atm.

I was looking at which professions to pick up this expac, and you’r right engineering is just bleh. Nothing in there sounds even fun-ish. I used to like the weird stuff they had, but this time, just meh.

What? Engineering is literally the only profession besides alchemy and maybe inscription worth having right now. Wormhole generator is the best item in the game. Who cares about a head piece that will be replaced?

I gotta say, the wormhole generator makes up for it imo. Works great as a portal to Oribos, and let me set my hearth to Bastion.

The new potion cd is lit for the nitro boost

If by participating you mean being undercut into oblivion and losing massive amounts of gold on what does actually sell, then yes and I’m sorry you’re missing out. I’m sorry you have a worm-hole generator and can shut off the frogger slime portion in De Other Side.

The Wormhole Generator on my rogue alone makes me want to drop Tailoring on my priest for Engineering.

Engineering was never good for money making. Its just for fun and some gimicks.

There’s no level cap on the tinkers either so you can use past expansions, for example i still use Rocket Boots and Jeeves from Wrath frequently.

Otherwise, the battle-rez thing saved me a few runs, and the Wormhole Generator is a huge time saver (its actually good this time around).

Just to name a few examples.

Can use alts to make money if that’s really what you’re going for.

I do wish they gave us good Goggles again though, how they were handled in BFA was pretty good (ie requiring mats that you get from a specific difficulty to bump them to an equivalent Ilvl).

Basically anyone but alchemists got screwed

This, exactly, theres like 0 profit in some of the Legendaries, not to mention the profit dump you need to do to finally start profiting from Tier 4.

ALCHEMIST STONES are 165 too… and currently you can only increase it by 3 ITEM LEVELS with Crafter’s Mark II, when something like a Crafter’s Mark III to make it at least 184 should have been in the game at launch… WTF were they thinking?! Literally the ONLY reason I haven’t dropped alchemy entirely is the flask duration buff…

Sure, engineers might not be able to make money out of it, but between the glider and the wormhole generator, I can wave at the peasants while I continue my easy travelling.

I droped it this expansion , too many slow falls toys and pvp gliders … id rather have 2 hours flask over engineering with how little it actually provides .
