So disheartening

We’re well past the world first race and the gaps between players that have done the exact same amount of work is staggering.

I’m 1000% for working to get power gains. Power shouldn’t just be handed out for free.

But when some people still haven’t hit their 2 piece and others have hit their 5th… even though they’ve all done the same amount of work on their characters, well that’s just heart breaking.

Hard disagree.

What content level are we talking about here though

I’ll let you in on a little secret, everything I did in wow was handed to me. I didn’t put in a single ounce of effort. Ever.

So, you had someone pilot your account for you?

What does this mean? What does this meeeaannn!? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

They don’t care.

No one who still works at Blizzard can say they represent player interests, otherwise these systems wouldn’t be designed to be predatory in nature.

I never stepped a foot into raiding, mythic, or rated pvp. But as casual I have been told everything is handed to me so there is that. So who am I to say otherwise?

What does work have to do with rng? Do you people not know how a random number generator works? And heart breaking? Good lord, pour a little more drama on top and pour some out for all the people “suffering” What’s disheartening and disgusting to me is seeing all the people commiting Hari Kari because in the first 5 minutes other people have stuff. Shame on you.

I am wondering, how is this any different from the past? Where guilds would run raids week and week and award pieces based on whatever point system they had in place? It used to take 6 months or more to complete a tier set.

I am just asking for my own curiosity.

Some people are strategizing to get their tier. I joined a group earlier and our lead was only inviting people that already had their tier legs and would be willing to trade them to him/her. That was in a normal.

Ah. well, Iʻm so casual that pressing the WSAD keys = effort.

That is the second most wow player quote I have ever read.

First place of course goes to this.

As in, I don’t expect to be handed character power progression for doing nothing but a monthly sub.

I’m all for having to earn the power. The rng is just so toxic with the last few expansions’ systems.

Luck, how much do you have in real life. Is it enough to override the horrible rng in the game? If it is is high enough great for you. If not, join the rest of us. My luck at -23 million based on stuff that keeps happening to me in-game. Luck the most fickle thing in life.

Rng is the reason why some people got 5 pieces while others haven’t even gotten 2 pieces even though they did the same content.

Thanks captain obvious, for proving my point…

12 days till creation catalyst.

I think the point was that rng can negate the work players put into their characters.

It’s exacerbated when the systems have such large power gain thresholds.

And my point is, it isn’t work. You push buttons playing a game and either rng turns up in your favor in the end or it doesn’t. People act like they’re toiling away building the great pyramids solo and the gods came along and knocked it all down in the end.

I don’t think it’s that serious. People do the things that increase player power.

Rng just really sours that process - that’s the point. It doesn’t keep gains proportionate across the players.
