Thats because thEy DoNt HaVe PhOnEs!!!
ya they dont have fone it aint fair to do a comparlasan , if then cant even do the game HOW THERE SUPOSE TO RATE IT ?
And credit cards apparently.
No surprise there.
are you excited for arclight rumble? owo
I am working overtime just to cover it.
Yeah⌠I kinda got bored of the game when they had me level 5 levels by doing the most repetitive activities possible in order to continue to the story, completely broke the pace.
Thereâs probably a way to pay to skip that but of there is just ainât worth it.
Fun part of mobile games to me is the Gacha and getting new characters. How do you think genshin makes so much money. They release a new waifu and players hand over their wallets. If there isnât a waifu Gacha, itâs not a good mobile game
It feels like mass outrage is a part of Blizzardâs marketing strategy now. Angry engagement on social media is still engagement and it generates a lot of free publicity?
They had me at, âDoNât YoU GuYs HaVe PhOnEs???â
Yes, Blizzard. We have phones.
No, Blizzard. We are not all millionaires.
On the plus side, Diablo 3 still works great.
So does Immortal, from what I hear from the folks whoâre being shouted down by the ones who read outrage articles. The P2W isnât really required to play the game, so it doesnât really matter how much it âcostsâ nor how long it takes to âearnâ. The gameâs still playable anyway, all it means is you canât really flex on leaderboards without spending money.

Right, so hereâs the thing: DI is a very well made game. It is a genuinely fun Diablo game. Itâs the monetization that ruins it, not the game itself.
If they charged a box price and went without the cash shop, people would be praising Blizzard as the second coming of mobile gaming. But, the F2P mobile predatory micro-transactions nonsense has relegated DI to a very short term and pathetic cash grab.
DI could have been one of the best games to ever grace the mobile platform. Too bad greed ruined that.
Eh.
Review bombinâ really doesnât means all that much, to be honest. Itâs just an excuses for some media outlets to make a quick easy article 'bout it, then everyone forgets aftah a couple days.
(Althoughs itâs kinda funny Blizzard now has the record for worst games on Metacritics: Warcraft 3 Reforged was up theres for a bits and for alls intents and purposes I considah it worse than Diablo Immortals)
As for DI, Iâm enjoyinâ the game for what it is. Hasnât spent a cent yets, sittinâ at around level 38 as a Barbarian, 'course. Itâs fun to play for a few hours, gets some loots, upgrade some of my stuffs and move right on with my day. Yeahs, the MTX are awfuls (The â800% Valueâ bundle is still hilarious to mes) and the notification aftah clearing a dungeon that thereâs a new bundles is urghsâŚ
âŚButs Iâm still havinâ fun playing its, and probably gonna continues to do so, controversy anâ all.
Is it really considered âpredatoryâ if the P2W is ultimately optional? I feel like people are getting too hung up on the min/max âcostâ without considering how much of that is ârequiredâ to play the game. A F2P game nudging you to spend is par for the course and to be expected. If the gameâs been set up such that you canât really play it without spending money, thatâs an issue worth complaining about. DI doesnât really sound like it crosses that line, unless youâre someone whoâs competitive where of course youâre going to have to spend in order to stand much of a chance.
it is 100% predatory. the game is literally banned in a dozen+ countries because it violates so many laws all around the world about gambling, deceptive practices, preying on children, etc. those countries arenât just âbeing meanâ to blizzard. they see it as criminal activity in their countries.
Dont know a lot about phone games, but are there many where you buy the game and pay a sub and play it? Arent most of them free and then you pay for extra stuff?
I dont know how heavy the monetization part of it is, but surely its all voluntary? Are you actually forced to buy anything? And according to recent news its the top selling game on the app sites. So a lot of people seem to be at least trying it out.
Lots of F2P games fall into that category; DI isnât really breaking new ground here, so itâs not really noteworthy.
EDIT: To elaborate, the âbanâ is more on a technicality than anything. Itâs too much work to alter the game in order to comply with the various regulations, so if the market is small enough in the affected area(s) they simply donât bother doing it since the game will perform just fine everywhere else.
Considering itâs likeâŚthe most downloaded app in recent days, I think people really need to reconsider how effective they think their stupid outrage-machine is.
